About This File

I built this for a project last year that never completed. A fairly large layout, consisting of an outdoors start area, leading into a base. Nothing special, but it's a fun battle that should take around 30+ minutes.

I thought the battles were very good. The outdoor area was a little different. Took me a couple attempts to play through, required a lot of running. Some excellent fights inside the base.

This is a great map! It's super-hard. You're confronted with hordes of ennemies, some in wide areas, coming from all sides, some in smaller indoor areas. So, it's always challenging, but never unfair. Plus, the map is looking beautiful! There are mainly two areas: a wide valley-like outdoor area with rocks, grass and plants, and a techbase with brownish metal walls. Textures and sprites (trees) are added by the author, and they're looking great. I highly recommend to download this. 4.5/5 -Milian

Wasn't that one in the newstuff #250 already? Whatever, it is a nice one. Very hard from time to time, but I was able to manage that one on UV with some saves/loads. Architecture is nice, texturing fine, gameplay okay, lots of monsters and few health, ammo should be enough for everyone. At all about half an hour of good fun. I'd give it 4/5. Sad that the whole project wasn't released.

Worth playing. But don't expect any miracles. Basically the same hordes of monsters over and over.

Despite the Kesler name, it's not all that great. Nice mapping but the scheme didn't work for me and it plays pretty awful. ***, barely. -sargebaldy

It's a good map. The map is both beautiful and large. There are boring fights, namely at the start, and there are exciting fights. I gave it a try on hurt-me-plenty, and survived with two near fatal moments (at the end I had 9% health). 4/5

Looks nice but gameplay is barely above average. Just the same boring fights over and over again. A map with such a monster count should at least try to be hard. 3/5 - Belial

Eh, very boring rail shooter gameplay and the main rock texture is really weird, just what the hell is that supposed to be? Not recommended.

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
