About This File

A reproduction of the Stauf mansion from The 11th Hour: The Sequel To The 7th Guest. PLAY DEATHMATCH WITH MONSTERS. STAUF.WAD is for DOOM, STAUF2.WAD is for DOOM2, STAUFH.WAD is for HERETIC. Very simple. An example command line for DOOM is C:\DOOM>DOOM -FILE STAUF.WAD The same would apply for the rest of the WADs. I tried to keep the WADS as easy to play as possible. You will find tons of ambush points and secrets. I got a little carried away with the HERETIC WAD, there are a few more secret areas. Hope you enjoy the Wads, I Had fun making them.

Although not that great of a level, it's a faithful recreation of the Stauf mansion in 7th Guest and 11th Hour, as well as being created by the lead programmer of the afore mentioned two games. (Per the included Stauf_.txt file, it was included on CD 1 (of 4) of 11th Hour, and I was surprised that no one had uploaded it previously (due to it's historical/cross-pla tform value). - RFNagel

Like I said, not that great of a level, but uploaded due to it's historical/cross-pla tform value. Looks exactly (minus textures) like the Stauf mansion in the afore mentioned games :) - RFNagel

These Doom Wads were made during the production of "The 11th Hour" by one of the Product Analyst. Graeme Devine was so impressed with the reproduction of the Stauf Manson he included them in the production release DVD of the game. Mitch Feldman is a DOOM GOD! Hail to the chief baby!

Trilobites are extinct arthropods that form the class Trilobita. They appeared at the start of the Cambrian period and flourished throughout the lower Paleozoic era before beginning a drawn-out decline to extinction when, during the Late Devonian extinction, all trilobite orders, with the sole exception of Proetida, died out. The last of the trilobites disappeared in the mass extinction at the end of the Permian 250 million years ago (m.y.a.).

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
