About This File

A set of 15 maps designed to be played as an episode (i.e. not a pistol start for each). The author suggests skipping the first three levels and considers 06-15 to be his best work. See the original text-file (included here as !grimripper_eng.TXT) for more information.

Note that the batch files referred to in the original text-file are not included here, as their purpose was to load 15 separate wads simultaneously. For the user's convenience, I have combined these 15 maps and 1 demo (all unaltered) into a single wad using Wintex.

there is nothing awe-inspiring about this megawad. there is also nothing in this megawad that will really make you hate it either. just...an average megawad. given that it was done in an old editor (DEU2), treat it as such.

Looks quite ugly, but it has some nice moments. Gameplay is more or less okay. Overall it isnt anything special. 3/5 - Damned

It has its good points, but parts of it just don't work so well as they should. Its not the greatest that's for sure. On the first level when you pick up the armor, the lift falls and you're stuck in that area-that was an unfair design cue.

If not for first few levels, it plays great. Some later maps look fine. Download recommended. JB PS: thanx to Graham for uploading!

More an exercise in 3-d artwork than a game. Just someone's bedroom with a HK in a tiny lobby outside the door, and a Caco in a tiny yard outside the window. A BFG and Invisibilty Sphere are also in the yard but you can't get out there. I think the name is a clue - maybe this was the start of a bigger level, then abandoned. He ought to have allowed it as a base for development.

Starts with all monsters with their backs to you, and you might as well leave it that way and just listen to the music. One big rectangular room with no finish switch. They couldn't even make the rectangle properly - freehand I guess. Kill the monsters if you want, it's easy.

Superb firework display of thousands of fireballs seeming in slow motion because of the vastness - mostly avoidable as they land where you were ages ago; but worth playing just to see it. A HUGE square surrounded by tiers with hundreds of imps and a few others, plus a blockhouse you can enter first to collect ammo.  Fighting through the hundreds of monsters when you get onto the tiers is another matter, overwhelming at UV. I cheated to finish so at least I could review.  Some HOM bugs.

Laggy hell with 32k monsters and too much invulnerability spheres. Just... total vomit.
