In 1993 Chinese Empire lay in ruins, and foreign nationals frequented the streets - many of them demons (not the streets - foreign nationals). Anyway, many of these demons went into somebodys harddrive to make scary noises...

Glad ya liked it. A funny story: Back in '91, one of the first CDROMs that I ever bought was the afore mentioned Media Clips CD by Aris Entertainment (to try out my "state of the art" 1x external parallel port CDROM drive ). Like many DOOM fans, I've been playing DOOM since the release back in Dec. of '94. Sometime around '95-'96 or so I was bored, so I dug out my old Media Clips CD to browse some of the pics on it. I came across this picture, MAJEST3.JPG, that was absolutely HAUNTING me;

the credits on the CD said that it was Yangshuo Cavern in China photographed by Tom Atwood, and although I was having MAJOR deja-vu looking at this pic, I knew damn good and well that I had NEVER been to China before, or knew who Tom Atwood was . I pondered over this for literally MONTHS; I couldn't figure out WHERE the hell I had seen that place and/or pic before! One day, out of the blue, I was playing episode 1 of DOOM and it hit me, I ACTUALLY *HAD* been to that place before; in DOOM ! - RFNagel

Thank you so much for finding the source and author of that photograph!!! I've searched for years and asked countless numbers of people, some of which were photographers that specialized in landscape photography. None of them were able to give me a definitive answer on where this was. Thanks once again! -EarthQuake

      Laggy hell with 32k monsters and too much invulnerability spheres. Just... total vomit.

      Insanity, with voodoo dolls (see second screenshot).  I get the idea of a shooting gallery if that rocks your boat, but 6000 monsters behind railings- as far as the eye can see, FFS! My PC crawled when I looked towards the invuln spheres (someone said 32 k of them and you can't avoid picking up thousands at a time). In the end I cheated with god mode and no-clipping, and waded in among the chaingunners until I got bored.

      Simple, clearly a first wad.  All on the flat with big, brightly lit, and architecturally implausible rooms. The first map has two rooms, the second map one, and the third map one plus a kind of exit lobby. You can do one of two things - just run past the monsters and finish (I did it in 35 seconds), or have a bit of fun killing the monsters first. No noticable bugs. I hope the author will go on (or went on) to greater things.
