I was disappointed with this. Perhaps it is an impressive technical feat - the credits are certainly very lengthy. But the (sprite-based) baddies look terrible and pixellated, and they zip around like frantic ants; the soldiers are scaled wrong and seem to tower over the player, and the E1 boss looks ridiculous. The first episode is drab and empty and bland, and although it gets better, the architecture is uniformly browny-greeny-purple . And it's not much fun to play.

Simply awesome, and one of the best mods ever released for EDGE. A must download! 5/5

5/5, lots of work put into this. A little dark in some places. Lots of cool Edge effects.

Seriously, Romero and the boys could have released this instead of Quake (even with the vanilla Doom engine instead of the Edge source port - it is better than 75% of the levels in registered Quake)

excellent, a serious mod that shows you EDGE can hang with the big boys.

whats so great about this? I'll admit, the 3d bridges and water were great. However the levels made my eyes bleed. I didnt feel this captured any of the mood QUAKE made. I couldnt play it because I couldnt see shit. I know quake was a dark game but the darkness in this mod is rediculous. The levels werent even reminiscent of QUAKE, other than the weapons and HUD. Im not saying I could do any better, my mapping sucks horribbly, but I know this is crap.

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
