About This File

Olde replacement for the original Doom 3 Episodes. Released purely because of interest in old, cheesy 1994 WADS.

This is possibly not the first version of this file, but an early revision. I no longer have the original The file date may or may not be accurate. The original was originally uploaded to the Compuserve action games forum in 1994.

Very solid wad, maps look simple and basic but work nicely with some interesting themes and quirks. 4 stars. Cannonball

I agree, this should have 5 stars because it is actually a full megawad of all competently done levels from 1994. And it's probably the only one of it's kind, given that Infinity did not complete the SerEtInf set until 1995, although honorable mention must also go to TeuTic and SudTic as well, two 1994 episodes I simply take to be one wad (similar to the three episodes of the SerEtInf series).

Really really fun vanilla MegaWad. Great gameplay and nice level design especially for it's time. Much recommended for fans of old school dooming. 5 stars. -TRRobin.

The guy above says it well for me. I can't believe that NO version of this made the top 100 wads. I can't really fault for this being a top 10 of 1994, since it was taken so far by its final permutation (NJZD2001), but having it never show up is inexcusable IMO.

Needs to get more attention. There are some levels in this that look a lot better than WADs released soon after this one. Don't expect too much, but this is nothing less than a forgotten classic. Throws you right back to the beginnings of the legend that is Doom. If this doesn't belong into anybody's level collection, then I don't know.

One of the first megaWADs I ever played back when all I had access to was those D!Zone and Demon Gate CDs. Still a blast to play through. Spinal Trap remains, to this day, one of my favorite Doom maps.

Classic Doom at its best. The layouts are pretty direct but varied and creative. I really enjoyed playing this, especially The Long Run. Well done! 4/5.

The guy above me has this one summed up perfectly. This deserves classic status above all the sh*t from 1994. How episode sets like Serentiy/Eternity (sorry, Infinity wasn't til 95) and SudTic/TeuTic managed to get the classic status when this one stayed in the dark is well beyond me.

No, actually, Enjay's later wads are better than his early ones. That guy is on crack beyond repair.

I have just discovered Enjays wads - very much 1994 style (which I like as I played the original in 1994)...Enjay has a great sense of how to get the best out of simple architecture. one suggestion for players looking at these today with a modern source port:- use the -fastmonsters parameter to beef up the gameplay a bit.....Looking forward to playing more of Enjay's stuff.

Good stuff. Yes, they're basic. Yes, they're ugly. Yes, there are a few small visual errors. But it's FUN all the way. Back in 1994, a complete replacement mapset entirely consisting of competently-designed , flowing levels was unheard of. 5* for that alone.

You are quite stupid... your vote may be the only reason this wad hasn't gained 5 stars! I guess that my vote will help up the average... --Sonnyboy

Are you some kind of idiot? These are 1994 maps, not GZDoom or Skulltag maps. Why are you complaining about this?
