About This File

of Level :Fairly cramped, "building" type level that's on the hard side. Ammo and health are pretty tight too. I didn't use any advanced port features or replace any graphics/music. Figured I'd better get the basics down first. HINT: You may have to overload the generator to take out some baddies. Don't try to use a hovercar either. You took the hoverbus to work this morning.

The map is good for a first level by the author. Keep on creating, Checkmate!

Got some neat little architectural touches, and feels cool in a sci-fi sorta way, but doesn't feel fully realized, and leaves you wanting more. A promising 1st level.

beautiful. pure doom poetry. would probably be awesome if it were a bit bigger, but still a wonderful first map. thanks.

Is there any reason why it *ends* right when you walk up to that demon army? You've got potential, but this WAD is sitll rather n00bish (although in a very different way than the way most n00bish WADs are n00bish).

Great work. Contrary to what has been said in the /newstuff review, the map can be completed without cheating. Breaking the generator didn't work in PrBoom 2.4.

First time author?? Have only found one more map by him: Balls. That map is much crazier (and bigger). Anyway this one is pretty good. Died several times early on from the revenant onslaught. Wished I could fight the army at the end but ah well... 5/5

An impressive first creation, but two things are worth noting: 1) The map can easily be exited in just a few seconds without firing a shot and without using any tricks. 2) It requires a Boom-compatible port (not just limit-removing) for a Boom-only lift (if nothing else).

Yeah, that's a 4-4 1/2 alright. EXCELENT ending! :D

This is dated April 2006. It's a city-techbase with some clever ideas. You start off "in media res" and have to run about before you can fight back; the detailing is cute in a LEGO minifig kind of way; and there's a clever anti-imp trap. Unfortunately the map finishes just when it gets going; it's really a short series of clever ideas in search of a structure. You can, if you're tricksy, dodge past the Barons at the start and end the level in no time.

This level wasn't very good. There was lots of detail, but it was mostly ugly and non-sensical. The level seemed to have only two light-levels. The level was too cramped and the gameplay generally was weird in a bad way. I just didn't have any fun. The author definitely has potential, but this level doesn't deserve more than 2 stars.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.

What the actual f*ck is this map. I love having 4 rockets, a shit ton of bullets and like 10 shotgun shells to take out a revenant, and whatever was in that cage. Doesn't look too bad, maybe this negativity is cus im no expert, also rather unskilled at the game?

thank god Underhalls was the map that followed this mod as that level was able to remind me what actually competent level design looks like.

Not that bad, even kind of interesting find the secrets in the map! But yeah, that switches jungle is a awful choice really.
