About This File

This is a 32 map wad with various changes in the looking of the Doom 2. Most of the graphics were changed, as well as the weapons and some enemies. It has new enemies and weapons for ZDoom, increasing the gameplay. It also brings some new enemies for Doomsday Engine.

I enjoyed this enough I sought it out a year later, after playing a large group of wads. It stood out the most in memory.

you practically have to god mode your way through it, even on ITYTD. inventory items are bugged unless you use the patch, but even they won't be of much help against the OVERPOWERED AS FUCK ENEMIES. 1 star for the city levels being fantastically designed though.

This truly is very best of doom juego mod of all time! No, not any alien vendetta or brutla dom or megaman dooms this is realy doom as envisioned by id back in the ninties. Do not believe personal attacks made against author by jeluos loser who envy this many of talent. Neodoom is as doom 3 should have been, it is the true DOOM3! Play now and experience very vast amount of custom made maps, weapons and monster to attack player and bring fourth glory of space marine!

One of the worst megawads I've ever played, if not the worst. Has probably the worst gameplay ever. Some of the cool enemies and weapons are nice, others are bullshit and don't work. Inventory is a BAD idea. And wtf, gameplay is just bad, people just like this because it has OMG NEW STUFF. Play Scythe (1 or 2, doesn't matter), then play this, and feel which one is the superior megawad. -Talvi

It's an awesome mod, up their with Alien Vendetta. The sounds are awesome, the graphics are awesome and the weaponry is awesome. Some people say that the graphics were "stolen" but it looks like you gave them proper credit. I'm especially happy to see an extensive array of city themed graphics - since I'm making a mod myself that needs them.

this mod roks! it must be the highlight wad of the year!! we must be happy to see someone making a work like this on a 13yrs old game!! btw, i hate the coward motherfuckers that use this section to make personal attacks to the author. i liked especially the city levels!!! 5/5 kick ass!!

Comparing Scythe 2 to anything but Scythe 2 is pretty stupid, because come on, really? What an imbalanced and retarded comparison. So, anyway, this entire thing is goofy and wonky but is kind of fun because of it. Most people will probably never finish it, of course.

Finally finished this on coop. This is an amazing mapset and should keep coop players busy for a very long time. Some of the weapons I never used though, like the grenade launcher and a few others. Still, nice to have a large variety of weapons at your disposal. I'd give this 5/5 BUT one thing really pulls the score down. The vixens. They're overpowered, annoying and everywhere. I would have enjoyed this wad alot more if it wasn't for those whores. Great wad overall though 4/5 - Cutmanmike

How stupid am I? I voted 4/5 before moving to the really good levels with great ideas, like the city, those castles, etc. They featured the most beatifull and lifelike city/football field/island/castle/ anything scenes I've ever seen on Doom!!! Far more! Now I vote 5/5 for compensation.

A good quality WAD with large, varied and interesting levels, good gameplay, and a unique atmosphere of its own. The jDoom version also makes good use of custom monsters and weapons, adding further to the gameplay. Unfortunately, in the ZDoom version Daniel went overboard somewhat with the custom content; much of it feels thrown in for the sake of it. Overall, 3.5/5 for the ZDoom version, 4.5/5 for the jDoom version, so 4/5 overall.

      A very decent challenge. Took me about half a dozen attempts to crack it on UV. The wad is from 2015, but could just as well have been from around 1997. Solid, traditional classic Dooming.

      The visual level design here is mostly similar to Plutonia and its unofficial sequels PL2 and PRCP. But it is by no means a gameplay part, since for example the gameplay in the first maps revolves around ammo shortage with not so much opposition (although it was tight in places, I admit), while the latter maps are somewhat reminiscent of slaughterwads with a bunch of ammunition and opponents.   The same applies to the size of the maps - the first ones can be completed in 6-7 minutes, while the last ones takes 15-20 minutes to complete. Although this could be explained by a kind of progress, despite the fact that even MAP12 (the first map in wad) is not a walk in the park.   I am not opposed to forced pistol-start (maybe even for), but usually if the levels should be completed in this way, they should be better balanced, as the ability to store things from previous levels is discarded.
      And again, I repeat as previous speakers - perhaps some arch-viles were even superfluous. This is especially noticeable when you go through the same room several times.

      Mostly enjoyable set in vein of "Plutonia but harder" and with larger fights. Visuals are often minimalistic, with combat being the focus of making the maps interesting. Expect plenty of Viles to resurrect what you kill and forced pistol starts on every map. 3/5
