About This File

Another great DooM ][ WAD file from the makers of Gateway to Hell and Return to Hell. This is recommended for single player games, but DeathMatch and Cooperative (2-4 players) is available. Also included is a Dehacked patch (v2.3) that makes our level even harder!

The first megasphere (in the Imp room) is there just for looks, it's not a secret. The Demon pit is doable even with the plasma rifle, you don't need the BFG - the sector damage is only 5%. As for the DEH patch (yes, it's buggy and will crash your port early into the map) you can safely ignore it. The level plays back just fine without it. Great WAD!

Never_Again

A pro-quality oldschool map with lots of action and some spectacular effects using crystal sectors (note that glBoom-plus displays the glass floor in the red cave incorrectly as MFLR8_3 in GL). There are a couple of tricky sections - the curved narrow walkway and the crusher hall - but nothing an experienced player cannot handle. Three of the secrets are unmarked; admittedly, two of them make the level much easier - but still lots of fun.

This hard-crashed both Prboom+ and Chocolate-Doom at a certain point early in the map. Proceed with caution.

3. What the fuck was the point of the megasphere? The bottom is so crowded that you'll die from poisoning rather than from the monsters. Fuck. ~That guy over there

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.

What the actual f*ck is this map. I love having 4 rockets, a shit ton of bullets and like 10 shotgun shells to take out a revenant, and whatever was in that cage. Doesn't look too bad, maybe this negativity is cus im no expert, also rather unskilled at the game?
