Bad King John

Up to 500 humanoid monsters in-fighting in courtyards while you wait listening the other side of the door. A few get through to you. I like levels with monsters killing each other but this is OTT and the long waits get boring. The scene after they are all dead is something worth seeing though.

Good things = Simple level design, No texture misalignments. Bad things = 255 brigthness everywhere. Each level contains hundreds of monsters (humans) and are all easy to beat. 2/5 -PC

Fun for five minutes, but not longer. On the plus side, though, fun for five minutes at least, which is more than what can be said about several other WADs.

I care more about well alligned textures than absence of lighting so it's ok for me. I enjoyed the idea of having armies of easy monsters on various plain areas, fun for me. Really! :) 3/5 - Optimus

Man, looks like this author is a little too zombie-crazed. It's only fun for a while, but it gets boring very fast.

Very much a newbie map, and not an impressive one either. It has very little to offer in terms of aestethics or gameplay: monotonous design and mindless battles. The only reason it needs a port appears to be the likelihood of an intercepts overrun on map03.

Surprisingly not based on the inside of a Boeing 787. There are three levels. Level one has a room with about a hundred zombiemen and shotgun people, and they kill each other. Level two has two rooms and about two hundred of the same monsters, and they kill each other. Level three has four hundred zombiemen and shotgun people and five hundred chaingunners, who kill each other in seconds. It's like squashing ants; mindless fun for twenty seconds, but it gets very boring very quickly.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.

What the actual f*ck is this map. I love having 4 rockets, a shit ton of bullets and like 10 shotgun shells to take out a revenant, and whatever was in that cage. Doesn't look too bad, maybe this negativity is cus im no expert, also rather unskilled at the game?

thank god Underhalls was the map that followed this mod as that level was able to remind me what actually competent level design looks like.
