About This File

The majority of the play takes place in a three- level maze of overlapping corridors and rooms. I had visualized this part of the level prior to construction, but had no idea it would turn out this good in the end. It's very exciting to play. The WAD has been playtested extensively and tweaked many times for improvement. Single player, Multiple Player, and Deathmatch modes are supported. It is skill level sensitive. Lots of surprises. NO TRAPS - (There are no areas where the player can be trapped) - Save often! Enjoy!

This is actually from June 1995, not 2006 at all. "There is an equal balance of KILLING and THINKING" says the readme, which is true of life as well. This map is wizard fun, although flawed in that there's a lot of running around lengthy corridors. But the architecture feels 3D and the gameplay - apart from the running about - is entertaining and clever at times. There's a problem with secret sectors, and it's very easy if you explore a bit, but I loved this map.

I liked it - COOL - 2 secrets can't be triggered unless you skip a teleport line

I would of like this map is there weren't traps situated in rooms where you are likely to run over the trap before you've dealt with monsters first.

thank god Underhalls was the map that followed this mod as that level was able to remind me what actually competent level design looks like.

Not that bad, even kind of interesting find the secrets in the map! But yeah, that switches jungle is a awful choice really.

A basic and nice looking showroom type of map where monsters are trapped inside glass prisons, no exit and no way to play this with any modern source Port like DSDA-Doom and GZDoom, but works really well in Crispy Doom. It was a pleasant experience.

Conceptually not bad, it's a pretty imposing tower with some decent lighting, but no ammo at all despite having the guns and a VERY obscure way to rise up the floor in the lava pit? That's a big downer. But overall, it's ok.

Well, the map is pretty basic. The map is quite challenging, with there being 0 ammo pickups (excluding the backpack) outside of the starting room. There are also nazis for some reason. I will give it 2 stars only because this really wasn't meant to be played to be enjoyed, but rather just a example of how to build a map in DEU.
