About This File

This was originally MAP31 in scourge, but after my test release, I removed it, as this level is incredibly different from the rest of the wad, but I didn't think about it too much. After much advice and a few suggestions, it was removed and a replacement made (teleportation), but this level lives on. WARNING - This level is huge and quite well detailed. It may cause slowdown on most machines. The best ways to avoid slowdown are playing with a fairly low screen resolution and (particularly in GZDoom) turning off some of the more fancy effects. To combat the size and clompexity of this wad, I've implemented a simple guidance system. If a section of floor, with lite3 lower textures, in front of a teleporter is raised, then there is something to do there. I'd advise saving every now and then, as I couldn't do autosaves in the map mode I was using, and this map takes long enough to finish as is.

Too much backtracking which is excruciating without any quick ways of exiting each 'zone'.

Ok... first of all, this is like the ultimate in effort maps. This definitely looks like it took forever. Painstakingly detailed, gigantic and a pretty good go at gameplay to boot. In short, a must-play to all of you who don't mind a big level. Five'd for effort and impressiveness

This is a large map, with 1114 baddies. It's basically four or five decent-sized levels compiled together with a teleport hub. The difficulty level is moderate, it's just that there are lots of baddies; the design is elaborate, but the detail is surprisingly old-fashioned, it feels like an ultra-magnified 1995 level. I'm not complaining though, it's a great way to pass a few hours. I assume you're allowed to jump.

Very good level. I'd dare to say exceptionally good. My type of difficulty - not the HR2 type. And it definitely does not "suffer from massive overdetailing". But the music was kinda too agressive - even for doom. 4/5 -- ellmo

Very nice - detailed, full of monsters, and a nice track. My only complaint is that it was a bit of a switch hunt at times...

This is a massive map so you not always going to know what the hell your doing. Once you get warmed up the level is not really that tough, even on AV (about 1180 monsters). Like I said the hardest part is finding your way around. The best looking parts are the outside area and the tech base looking part. I really like the detail that was put into the tech whatever part. I'm not a fan of the damn hell theme so the hell with that. I am a fan of big maps, good job. 8/1/07

Not quite legendary, but very good anyway. The new 'boss' monster could have been harder, or a bit more interesting, considering how much you have to go through just to get to it, but it was pretty nice.

A bit of a let-down considering its size. Feels like a bit of a mish-mash with no real theme or idea of what it wants to be. The detailing is excellent in places but the gameplay often feels cramp and disorganised, as does item placement.
