Looks good, interesting architecture, great palette. However, there's a bug (you get a message that literally says "text" when you pick The Key), and the music... well, let's just say you really should've chosen something nice and atmospheric. :) I also think it would've been nice if the standard door sound had been replaced with something more fitting and less techbase-like, but that's a minor thing really. 4/5.

I really enjoy maps like this - Atmospheric combination of palette, music and layout. Very memorable material here.

The monster count was a bit painful. I was definitely surprised that something of this appearance wasn't more puzzle-oriented... and, erm, did you forget the sound track by accident? D_RUNNIN, destroyer of atmospheres, strucketh.

This is a very excellent level. 5 stars! And for those interested, here's the sequel (or your next "night", as the story goes): http://www.gamers.or g/pub/idgames/newstu ff/oniria2.zip

I felt it was a good map, interesting architecture, like most of the reviews have said it, there was some truly amazing rooms, and i liked the palette. By the time of this review, the music had already changed into something more atmospheric, i liked that a lot too. Cannot imagine how playing this map with D_RUNNIN would be. (continues)

This is a visually imaginative level that looks unique, although I'm not convinced about the grey & red palette. It's been tried before. It's hard to tell the baron and hell knight apart, and it just looks monotonous. But the level is quite good and looks odd. At first sight it looks as if the level has a lot of missing textures, but it's just a checkerboard wall pattern.

A very nice and interesting map. Texturing and atmosphere is wonderful, and gameplay is solid. The palette is the clincher that gives this such a different feel. But it's hard to tell apart Hell Knights and Hell Barons. And as for the music - just use IDMUS and D_ROMERO, Map 28. 4/5 - Wills

I really enjoyed playing with Oniria. I have liked very much the architecture and the creativity of the author. The atmosphere is different and I think that it is a very original wad. 5/5 - czar_platt

WOTW? Nah. It's good stuff but there are more competitors for the WOTW title. Palette is ok, but nothing I'd like to play every day with. Level design is nice.

Its creative, I give it that but that palette....um.....i donno, its too....um....it just isnt pleasing to look at. The architecture and layout are very well done but that grey look just doesnt doo it for me. It annoys the hell out of me. God made us to see colour for a reason. Imagine you wake up one morning and everything you see is in black and white. You'd go nuts. -1 point for the palette. 4/5 solid!

I must say I have never seen a map look like this before. The gameplay was good, it just is maybe a little too freaky. A nice creative idea so I guess I like it. 6/12/07

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
