Wine's Luxury Grange

It's this chap again. I am in a contented mood and so I am unusually tolerant. This level is fractionally better than the author's other levels, in the sense that it is not obviously a novelty joke. There is a certain amount of gameplay, and the design is better than typical 1994-era rubbish. But it is still very basic; there are three blocky rooms and a corridor, and you have plenty of ammo and health to deal with the monsters. My advice on scrolling walls is not to use them at all.

Its slightly better than Ruba's other levels, but not good enough for me!. Sorta funny in some ways to my point of view, especially with the Commander keens. Obviously guys like Ruba are out there just to annoy the crap out of you!, but I think his levels have a sense of humor to them!. 2 stars. PC

This isn't really that bad at all. At no point was I annoyed or horrified with the design, and I was pleasantly surprised to see an attempt at gradient lighting. 3/5
