About This File

This Package includes the completely updaded version of Demon Eclipse Epsisode 1 as well as the all new episode two. The Mode features a host of new monsters, weapons, and other graphics I made. Almost all the original Doom weapons are completely redrawn from scratch to make the weapons look consistent. Features 24 new monsters (although not all used yet) With many more to come. 18 new weapons and/or revamps, 10 of which designed especially for episode 2. A Host of new Items and Powerups.

This is planned to be a 5 episode mod, a total of 30 maps. Each episode is designed to stand out on it's own, although continuating the original Story. Each Episode will have it's own weapons, monsters, and theme, designed for a new gaming experience with each episode.

NOTE: You will need to run GZdoom using OPEN GL mode, not software.

The first episode ranges from OK to Good; the second one is *WONDERFUL*. I really hope that there will be a third one, at least! :) 5/5

So far, it's got a good environment. But, I'm having problems with textures not loading correctly (even with the current version of GZDoom), even if I load nothing but the wads provided here.

Some people just can't see when they have something great in front of their eyes. Wads like this keep me looking for custom maps, hell of a good job. Gameplay goes from absolute no ammo and scavenging for an ammo clip to abundance and trigger happy run n' gun action. The mapping is good but not the best thing this has. At last I see someone who makes good use (if any) of all the custom content out there. 5 stars, well done.

Just doesnt gell for me. It's a heap of interesting modded heretic weapons tacked onto some largish boring doom2 maps. The weapons are nice though; just out of place.

a mishmash of clashing styles, but a good one at that, a mix of 'classic' maps with some hell themes in the second episode, and some great monsters that spice up the gameplay at the end.

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
