About This File

This Package includes the completely updaded version of Demon Eclipse Epsisode 1 as well as the all new episode two. The Mode features a host of new monsters, weapons, and other graphics I made. Almost all the original Doom weapons are completely redrawn from scratch to make the weapons look consistent. Features 24 new monsters (although not all used yet) With many more to come. 18 new weapons and/or revamps, 10 of which designed especially for episode 2. A Host of new Items and Powerups.

This is planned to be a 5 episode mod, a total of 30 maps. Each episode is designed to stand out on it's own, although continuating the original Story. Each Episode will have it's own weapons, monsters, and theme, designed for a new gaming experience with each episode.

NOTE: You will need to run GZdoom using OPEN GL mode, not software.

This one is one that will remain in my favorites forever. Visually, gets a 5; gameplay, gets a 5. And Doorway to Abbadon is compatible with brutal doom. As far as the other episode, I'm not sure I like the weapons because I am totally spoiled by brutal doom and this doesn't work here. That having been said, it is done (if you like this sort of thing) VERY WELL!!! Nice, I would love to see a hellish mini-wad that works with vanilla weapons (compatible with brutal doom). Thanks for the great wad!

This is a damn fine megawad. Much better than KDiZD.

The only reason why i don't give 5 is the often very annoying running around just to find the way, especially on these really vast and confusingly detailed maps which are apart from that a big plus. Thank you Mr. Ou, for a pretty nice and free way to revamp and replay doom2. There's only one more thing i would like to ask for; a complete and detailed walkthrough.

Nothing special. Another sad case of detail before gameplay

The 2nd episode is better than the first, and the first one was pretty damn fun. *****

Nothing special? Show me another wad that brings this much of a fresh feeling to this old game called doom. While Episode1 is ok, I think Episode2 is one of the best things ever made... *****

While somewhat visually appealing, gameplay suffers horribly. Typically, one would download this, play for a few minutes, then decide to IDCLEV through most of the maps before going "meh", and decide to keep this WAD around just to rip the resources out, because that's about the only usefulness this WAD has. 2 stars for bad gameplay.

Well it seems very doomy at first. Then hoes heretic crazy. If you want something which slowly combines the two, this is for you. Has plenty of nice features thanks to Gzdoom. Worth trying 5/5

Er, crumbs. The file contains nine separate wad files that you have to load at once, and then it crashes with a decorate error. Otherwise the maps are pleasant but feel old-fashioned, with generally uniform brightness levels. The monsters and weapons are just recoloured and retouched Doom/Heretic etc sprites dropped in from elsewhere. The Doomguy's hands in particular do double duty. I hate bloody wands, they do not awe me.

The reason why it may have crashed is because you may not have had the right version gzdoom. other then that this deserves 5 stars.

Love the green theme you had going with the weapons in the first episode, though the pistol, fist and chainsaw look slightly out of place. Level are really under detailed though and don't really have much flow or difficulty. I am awaiting the time when you finish off this TC and then go back and add detail and adjust the flow of your original levels.

As the second guy says you need GZDoom. Not ZdoomGL etc. This is like an ambitious total conversion from 1995 or 1996. The levels are decent but nothing special, and the new graphics and sounds are so-so. there's a compendium of weapons too. It must have taken a lot of effort, but i don't give out stars for effort. I can't see how the first guy could play the levels without getting them to work. the second guy doesn't say anything about the levels at all.

Inconsistent mapping style between Episde 1 and Episode 2, mediocre 1994 style gameplay. Unecessary huge download. 1/5

Not a big fan of E1- mediocre design and rather underwhelming weapon replacements(for example, chaingun replacement is only good for swallowing large amounts of ammo). E2 is something special though: really large, good looking and well designed maps in medieval/hellish style, and a set of truly excellent new weapons (from extremely badass sword to ranged weapons done in cool organic/dark fantasy style). New monsters are also cool and offer decent challenge.

Whilst it's impressive that he's edited so many graphics and done so much work... the mapping isn't very good, and the monsters really are just annoying, especially the harder ones. Good for some, but I really didn't enjoy it.

I REALLY like the weapons. Everything else is just good, but the weapons are excellent. I didn't like having to load nine wads, so you lose points for that. 4 stars. - Skunk

The very first thing I loved on this set of WAD is it's AWESOME soundtrack, no matter played back with OPL- or "modern" synthies. The maps are awesome, with a very good flair, great weapons. 5 stars.

I'd love to play this and see if I like it, but the -misc (I think) file won't load for my ZDoom version (Nov 2008). Any suggestions? I guess I'll give it a 3 since I liked to first episode but really otherwise have no idea what this is like.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.

What the actual f*ck is this map. I love having 4 rockets, a shit ton of bullets and like 10 shotgun shells to take out a revenant, and whatever was in that cage. Doesn't look too bad, maybe this negativity is cus im no expert, also rather unskilled at the game?

thank god Underhalls was the map that followed this mod as that level was able to remind me what actually competent level design looks like.
