About This File

A futurist base with a lot of brown and gray tex- tures. I tried to build a pretty and detailed map, within the limits of the original Doom II -this was a requisite of the 6th Cabro's Map Tournament-, and with the action of the classics... A lot of cannon fodder, I mean.

Exelent gameplay, nice architecture.. I have nothing bad to say about this map.

Aside from the first part of the map, which is just annoying, the map is easy and doesn't have much going for it. I was running out of ammo almost constantly. Plus I got stuck in the upper right part of the map. 3/5

The first decent doom2.exe-compatible map I've played in a long while. Got stuck on architecture and decoration during some battles, but looks good, had a few interesting traps, and health is rationed out nicely. 3/5 -VV

A good solid map. My initial impression was that it called for too much cautious play to be much fun, but as things progressed it turned out to be a well-balanced map offering a tense and fair battle throughout. No huge battles or big surprises though. 4/5

Typical good map. Not legendary but worth one's time. 4/5

This map is not too large, but filled with many monsters, mostly imps and humans, but some harder enemies, too. There's nothing special about it, but it's an action-filled, and quite entertaining game. Good avarage work. 4/5 -Milian

This is an entertaining level that has a strong Doom 1 flavour, although it has lots of Doom 2 monsters and the super shotgun. It needs a bit of polish, though. On my first go I became trapped. There's an area where you are trapped by a barrier, and it's surprisingly easy to press the (one-shot) button that raises the barrier before the barrier has lowered. And The regular swarms of imps are a bit monotonous. But I agree with the first reviewer that this is a good, solid map.

Holy crap man, you own. The gameplay was awesome, detail was great, the layout was fantastic, and the music owned. Aside from the bug I encountered which was mentioned in the second review, this map was awesome. 5/5 -Tango

Very nice map. Challenging and imposing. I felt that some areas were over detailed, particularly when the ground was irregular, and some areas seemed over dependent on a large number of monsters. I would prefer to see fewer areas with such a large number of monsters or a larger field with a more challenging scenario if such large hordes are to be used. Nonetheless I enjoyed toasting those hideous imps.

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
