About This File

The pyramid is a metaphor that represents the daily problems of our life. Help Gamarra to climb it. Two tips for you: a bfg is in a secret area nearby the start and a secret teleport leads you on the top of the pyramid.

This can only be fun for speedrunners, proving how easily "the daily problems of our life" according to Giulio Galassi can be overcome. 1/5

This approaches NUTS.wad territory; it's a multi-tiered pyramid with over 2,500 monsters arranged in an orderly fashion on the pyramid and in some side rooms. Once the monsters wake up, the frame rate plummets. There's a secret teleport that takes you to the top of the pyramid. If Mr Galassi makes another 23 levels he will have enough for a megawad. At his current rate we will be downloading his megawad sometime towards the end of 2007.

Because of the critics, I don't care to download it. But I give 5 points for the great title "Pyramid of problems".

Is textured as badly as a 1994 level, and mostly made like an early crude DEU job. Number of monsters is almost NUTS.WAD-like, and the fact that it's a Doom 1 map doesn't help variety either. However, there is some grandiosity in the sheer scale of the pyramid...the "encouraging" texts reminded me of Christian videogames for some reason...doh, 2/5 stars.

Strangely fun... it'scool to see millions of fireballs in the 'bove or toturn on fastweapons, infinite ammo and watch as cacodemons drop from the heavens like flies. Can't wait for the last part :) It was truly spetacular and grand.

The funny thing about these is that the author is actually getting better. Of course, at this rate, we'll have to wait until Gamarra XCVII until one of them will be *good*, but I thought it was interesting to observe it nonetheless.

Go forth and kick rear, Ghoulio, my lasagna munching friend(after all the whining about ´94 wads it was only a question of time until someone made them on purpose) 5/5

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.

What the actual f*ck is this map. I love having 4 rockets, a shit ton of bullets and like 10 shotgun shells to take out a revenant, and whatever was in that cage. Doesn't look too bad, maybe this negativity is cus im no expert, also rather unskilled at the game?

thank god Underhalls was the map that followed this mod as that level was able to remind me what actually competent level design looks like.

Not that bad, even kind of interesting find the secrets in the map! But yeah, that switches jungle is a awful choice really.
