About This File

One new level with a hellish theme, similar to bits of Episode2 and Episode3. This was originally supposed to be a contribution for DarkHaven's megawad project which was codenamed X-DOOM... Sadly, that project died, despite the fact that my map for it got finished. So I've decided to release it now as a separate add-on, cause otherwise I would've felt like I wasted too many productive hours for absolutely nothing.

GAMEPLAY HINTS: If you get lost or stuck, look at the walls and try to search for some shootable switches. Also, try pressing SPACEBAR in front of certain walls. And quicksave :)

A large level which is frustrating as hell. 2/5

It's so old-school that it has a secret just behind the start location. It's basically a decent but unexceptional level from 1995, transplanted into the modern day; it's so accurate that it transcends rationality. I flicked and shot and pressed all the switches and killed all the monsters I could find, and came within an inch of giving up, until I realised that there's a lift in the very first room. But there's a lot of wandering about.

What all the others (had me running around in the narrow corridors ;P) said and half a bonus because it was a big level and well designed. 2.5 - Optimus

This is a weird and badly done map, can't imagine what it should be. 0/5

A decent hellish Level. I like the basic old school design, gameplay is good and there are a few frustrating puzzles. Uses a good song from ROTT. No difficulty settings. Ugly Sky. It gets 3 Stars -PC

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
