Nice, clean design, includes very good ideas. Only criticism may be too big amount of popup traps with enemies, but hey, nothing's perfect.

I made it, oh... about 20 seconds into this wad's first episode, first map, until I deleted it. Why?

The blacked out classic status bar, and message telling me to get rid of it. If you broke the bar, get rid of your idea and make a new one... it's as simple as that. I've seen edited versions of this wad that undo the silly goose programmed status bar message, but ya know what? It's not enough. No reason you had to break the status bar, that's just sloppy. And what irks me the most? A fix is not universally available to everyone who downloads it, not even 13 years later. Truly disappointing, my friend. Having played Simplicity- Because Complexity Sucks, this is pretty much a drunken abuse of cacoward fame in my opinion... should've never fixed what wasn't broke.

Go download sp_simp.wad instead, I think it's better. This isn't the same wad that won a cacoward in 2005.

^If the bar is black then I think you need to hit the + key again (to increase view size). There should not be a traditional status bar at all.

The message "Get rid of normal doom hub" is not disappeared. Status bar is black. I use GZdoom and other wads is working well. I don't know why.

It says 30 maps in the description, but I was only able to find 20. After episode 2, the wad cycles back to E1 and starts over. An interesting playthrough for sure, with gameplay that is mostly "simple", as the title would imply, but manages a few unexpected surprises later on. Cool use of ZDoom features. Auto 5-star rating for Map 32. 5/5.

When I was a little child I used to lay in my bed at night shivering in terror under the covers. I would make myself as small and tight as possible, and not let my foot or arm ever dangle over the bed. It would take me countless haunted hours before sweet sleep whisked me away from my waking nightmare. Well, this levelset doesn't remind me of that in the slightest. 5/5

I really didn't want these great levels to ever end. I don't like the stupid tall baron thing or the last monster. And that fucking part having to do with hitting the switches in order sucked ass but everything else about this megawad rocks. The detail and gameplay were award winning. I really enjoyed playing this, I had a god damn blast. 7/29/07

^^I agree with you on being too easy, I also did on UV without dying once in whole game, I also killed EVERY MONSTER possible in both main episodes. About dying, while I didn't die once and was lucky most of time (even at final boss fight), however I did once loaded my game in MAP19, because of 2 fucking revenants did maximum damage, my health dropped to 20 (I had blue armor from previous level), but I reloaded my previous saved game and did that part again more carefully. I give it 4/5 though. -Doomer95

Claims to be straight Doom II gameplay, but Spork seems to have picked up Doom 3's trap-a-minute gameplay style. Whatever you do, open a door, hit a switch, get a key, there will be monsters in your face. Guaranteed. When a stealth Hell Knight decloaked six inches in front of me and tore me a new one on the first level I was ready to scream. So, uh, yeah, I'm knocking this down to a four because the traps are that obnoxious. Please, Spork, make the gameplay FAIR next time. --Woolie

What this felt like to me was a megawad with typical bland switch/keyhunt gameplay, only with no amount of detail whatsoever. Great job, you made something different, but still a turd.

Very good megawad, exceptional level design, and the ROTT secret level was great.

5 stars, great work and being able to jump and crouch in doom is complete bullshit. Thank you for disabling, its the only way to actually play doom.

Extremely cool, but then I got to Map 10, the power core, and there's a door that won't open because it says I have to disable the secondary power core. I've been everywhere else over the level and hit every switch, but it still won't let me go through. Way too buggy to be enjoyable.

Probably because it uses zDoom features. ¬_¬ Anyway, this wad is made of win and fun. 5/5 for you.

I would have given it 5 stars if it was just a pinch easier. Still a wonderful bunch of maps!

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.

What the actual f*ck is this map. I love having 4 rockets, a shit ton of bullets and like 10 shotgun shells to take out a revenant, and whatever was in that cage. Doesn't look too bad, maybe this negativity is cus im no expert, also rather unskilled at the game?
