Goat Lord on lvl 10 is impossible to beat and therefore wad impossible to finish. Even at my best, it's only possible to get him down to 50% HP before he starts summoning nightmare demons every two seconds.

who the hell voted 2 stars?! ... but i would, since there's not really a need for an overhaul. 2/5. 5/5 for the first release.

I'm amazed that I haven't played this before now, I found it amazingly enjoyable. It had just the right amount of detail and just the right amount of well bloody everything. But in all seriousness, this was really a great map-pack.

whatdafuck, i thought it's a cool wad but isn't. there is also stupid easter egg (much like map31 and map32 from Doom II). type map21 and you will see first level from ROTT, WHAT THE HELL???? sorry but this wad sucks. 2/5 for effort

I love minimalism and mediocrity and this has both plus some pretty hard gameplay. feels arcadey too with the odd scoring system. I just wish the author wasn't so hateful towards his own work though since some people nowadays like the minimalism. MAPX07 seems unfinishable though.

Only halfway through, but this is pretty fun to play. It's slow to start but gets you hooked towards the middle of the first episode. Found an irritating bug though - the switch that opens the door to the room with the first conveyor belt isn't set to be repeatable, so it's possible to get trapped behind a locked door.

Person with map 10 error: You must have hit "use" next to the big pillar in the middle of that one room and activated a hidden switch earlier than you were supposed to. Later, when you need to hit all 4, if you've already hit any this task becomes impossible. You'll have to restart the level, I guess. :( Great wad, though. By great I mean kick-awesome.

sure it's beautiful but also too simple to enjoy it. linearity isn't a sin as itself, but it needs to be done properly, not just square room after square room after square corridor with zero planning on the map's geometry or flow. 3 stars.

Simple in fact - gameplay is very classic, including rooms with symmetrically placed monsters. Has surprises like monsters appearing just in front you (gets old quickly) and some cool puzzles (that "Simon says" style one was cool). It was a tad boring in moments and boss battles were annoyingly hard but supercool visuals and map design made it up - dunno why, but library map reminded me great old Chaos Engine on Amiga. Style!

"GET RID OF THE OLD HUD" why dont you quit bossin me around? I'll play doom however the hell i want. The new HUD sucks. The text is small and hard to read, and the ammo is on the right and helth on the left, which should be switched. Annoying the player to have to switch to a different hud to play correctly was a really bad move.

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
