About This File

Just a idea i've got in my head, simple a sort of monocromatic\8-bit fortress, somenthing fairly similar to 8-bit deathmatch imho... btw nothing of really spectacular, and since the strange thing i've decided to set this one in the second secret level (grosse).I think this one will have 2 stars our less... btw i've do it just for fun....

This is a short and a SHITTY wad for sure! It has extremly ugly textures and has only 5 rooms! 2 of the rooms have SS soldiers in them and one room has a cyberdemon that you kill having picked up god mode. Really, after so many maps getting bad reviews just couse they gave the player a bfg and pitted the player in front of a cyberdemon right at the start is is beyond my how he did that mistake. Look sucks. gameplay sucks. Layout sucks. 1/5 stars for the crappys't wad of the week!

I like the use of this idea in WADs, maybe someday it can be done with better aesthetics in minimalism, though it puzzled me searching for the button then the key then having to fight two Cyberdemons (which is easy though if you follow the right order in game) and I'd expect a bigger level of this kind with more regular enemies. 3/5 - Optimus

8bitDM was wonderful, eye-splitting, with lovely beepy music. This is conceptually similar but the execution is off - there are only a handful of rooms. It's basically a very short "boss monster" map, with a BFG and invulno-sphere. The bit at the end, where the floating monsters appear over the battlements, was very good, but there's nothing else. Could have been decent with some more work (the look is there).

Should have been larger, but other than that, I like it.

Superb firework display of thousands of fireballs seeming in slow motion because of the vastness - mostly avoidable as they land where you were ages ago; but worth playing just to see it. A HUGE square surrounded by tiers with hundreds of imps and a few others, plus a blockhouse you can enter first to collect ammo.  Fighting through the hundreds of monsters when you get onto the tiers is another matter, overwhelming at UV. I cheated to finish so at least I could review.  Some HOM bugs.

Laggy hell with 32k monsters and too much invulnerability spheres. Just... total vomit.

Insanity, with voodoo dolls (see second screenshot).  I get the idea of a shooting gallery if that rocks your boat, but 6000 monsters behind railings- as far as the eye can see, FFS! My PC crawled when I looked towards the invuln spheres (someone said 32 k of them and you can't avoid picking up thousands at a time). In the end I cheated with god mode and no-clipping, and waded in among the chaingunners until I got bored.

Simple, clearly a first wad.  All on the flat with big, brightly lit, and architecturally implausible rooms. The first map has two rooms, the second map one, and the third map one plus a kind of exit lobby. You can do one of two things - just run past the monsters and finish (I did it in 35 seconds), or have a bit of fun killing the monsters first. No noticable bugs. I hope the author will go on (or went on) to greater things.
