About This File

This is a remake of one of my really early levels. I always considdered it as my first really good level and I felt that it needed a revival.

This level uses a texture pack by Chris Buecheler which I used on my Flay The Obscene Episode 4. It's full name is "CWB Texture Pack 5 for Doom2". I have included this wad file so be sure to load it too!

The level itself forces the player to use some teleports in one main area to reach other areas to find switches and keys. You will backtrack to some extent, but I have tried to not make it too tideous. The level was intented to be a good mix of action and puzzles wrapped up in good looks! :)

Nice, well-made level with plenty of action to keep you busy for a while, not Hell Revealed but definitely not a cakewalk either. 4 Stars, worth the download.

Very hard, nicely designed, kinda got me running around in teleports (I hate levels starting with several teleports where you have to keep track which teleports go where and where you have seen that door requiring this blue key last time). 4/5 - Optimus

This is an awesome Zdoom level by Chris Hansen, it looks absolutley awesome. Bloody hard. Make sure you save often. You face off against some of the toughest hellspawn here, lotsa big monsters like Fatsoes (Mancubi), Archviles, Barons, Cacos, etc. A big, bloody puzzling map thats for sure. Worth downloading if you want to tackle some serious challenge. -PC 5/5

Nifty all round. The difficulty is fairly hard, but the map is also designed nicely so that you can always find a way around a fight. Regarding difficulty, the ending, however, made me go hmmmm... which was the only place I just so happened to die. I presume the secrets are the plasma and soul sphere... ahhh, they taunted me from their impossible preeminent perch. If only I had a better strategy in the end part, which I think I could've had, now that I think more about it. Keep more bloody maps coming!

I didn't enjoy this map, which I found very surprising as I usually enjoy Chris Hansen's wads very much. I found it had very little flow though and the progression didn't make much sense. It just felt like a lot of disjointed areas and some places the monster placement was too unfair, though there were lots of good fights to be had too. It does look very good though, and as ever is excellently detailed. ~ pritch
