About This File

One map - a large map! I devote this wad to KoLoBoK[iddqd], my best friend, who suddenly died in 2007, may 12.

Hot damn! Best level I've played in a long time - the ambiance is great, custom monsters are a near perfect fit and game-play is spot on. More, more! 5/5

Artwork was great! Too many Monsters! God mode needed! all the hunting got boring. The level was too big, thus slowing 2GH pc framerate to about 6-8 FPS. Art=5 gameplay=3 slowness=2 score 3/5

A truly atmospheric WAD that is, for the most part, a satisfying play throughout. Amazing graphics, intriguing challenges, new monsters, and eerie music, it's definitely a WAD that's worth playing through at least once. The two issues I have with it are the annoying complicated maze half way into the map (it cuts out some of the fun) and the final boss who's different but kind of blah at the same time. Other than that, it's a good WAD to play, definitely for its stunning visuals.

It was a very well-made map, if a bit short. My only gripe with this map is that the start is a bit hard.

Overrated gzdoom nonsense. It doesn't look anywhere near that good

This is a good-looking level, with several custom monsters borrowed from elsewhere. There are even some good ceiling textures. It's a bit Hexen-like at times, which is unfortunate. There are some good traps, and you need fancy run-in-a-circle skills. Wandery mid-section, with a dark maze that doesn't automap. After escaping the maze I wandered about for ten minutes, until I went back into the maze and found a new switch. Lovely lighting effects.

Invisible floors? Use opengl, because 3d-floors doesn't work in soft.

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
