About This File

My attempt of an E1 style wad with some bits from E2, to see if I should bother to release another E1 project im working on. Requires the Ultimate Doom wad

Good work, but I played better E1 styled maps. Decent details. I killed all but finished with 0 ammo on HMP. 3.5/5 Damned

Not exactly what I'd call an E1 map, too linear and the layout is too...obvious? Simple? Meh. But it's good though.

Don't see how it really related to the author's next project at all (Doom Incarnate) but it is worth playing. Quick, but fairly fun.

Rather ordinary. 3 stars. The real map Doom Incarnate is awesome though.

Good fun - short and sweet. It's very small but there's lots of action, and it's tough but fair. I ended up running to the exit. My gameplay hint is that you should go right at the start, because you get the rocket launcher, which you will probably need.

Technically competent architecture, but with absolutely no inspiration and an incredibly simple layout. At its heart, this map is a few square rooms with plenty of detail packed full of monsters. There's no real progression or development, and a completely anonymous architectural style, and a structure this thoughtless and short barely qualifies as a map. 2/5 --Woolie

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
