About This File

It's a classic, megawad is partially citing the original Doom2, like if it was that same Doom2, but ..would be not the really the same and sometimes totally not the same...

The first couple of maps are actually fairly weak, but later levels really hit a stride. The shades of original Doom II levels are a good touch, but the levels built around them feel completely new. A lot of the later levels are very good, although MAP10 doesn't really have anything to do with the original level at all, except by building around the name "Refueling Base". It's a bit of a disappointment. Sure, MAP10 was a thematic mess, but at least throw in the nifty box area.

This is one of the best re-interpretations of Doom 2 I've ever played. It still keeps that classic Doom 2 style while adding in some new elements.

damn good maps, it's a cool remake of first 11 maps of Doom 2 but I'm wondering where it will be made the maps 12-32? I want the complete project!!!! I give this 5/5 for excellent gameplay.

Really impressive, but way way too easy. UV should be hurt-me-plenty easily. Other than that it was very good. It's weird that there aren't more maps like doom 2 as opposed to all the episode 1 remakes that we see.

Pretty good fun. Reminds me a lot of those wads like Doom 2 reloaded, Wonderful doom, and doom redemption that retain everything great and nostalgic about the orignal doom games.

This was awesome stuff with some inspiration from the first 11 levels of Doom II, but they are all from scratch. Perfect Gameplay and Level Design. I really loved Level 8. The best wad I've played for a while. This is what I play Doom for. I'm giving it 5. -PC

OK, it's DOOM 2 - or at least, levels that are clearly recognisable as the DOOM 2 levels. That's fine, and the levels are OK, too, but they're not great, so don't let the high rating this currently has deceive you. Eternal has put out some great stuff, but this is one of his weaker creations. 3/5.

Excellent retelling of the first 11 levels of Doom2, looking a lot more like you'd imagine them too, but still retaining the all important aspect of being fun. Brilliant really, so that's 5* for you

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
