About This File

Combines E1M1 and E1M2 into one level, adding more detail and extra rooms to connect them. More of these will probably follow. This was created from scratch.

Average for me. Some nice design ideas with combination of E1M1 and E1M2. Good gameplay but no memorable situations. I find some really bad texture allignment issues and sure, there should be door texture in nukage. 3/5 -Damned

This is the latest of several attempts to rejig early levels. It borrows themes from E1M1 and E1M2 rather than simply adding more detail to the original design (e.g. id=11127, which was a carbon copy of E1M1 with new textures). The design is a bit crude and the action is simple, but it's entertaining enough to pass the time. You can exit the nukage switch room by pressing the wall (it should really be a door texture).

A mostly successful experiment that I enjoyed my play of.

Very good remake/mix job I'd say. Retains the large unnecessary area like original E1M2, a surprising change considering many remakes turn that area into a necessity. Well worth playing. 5/5

Not bad, however you can get trapped in the nukage switch room, dunno if that was intentional. 3/5 -Maes

At first glance appears to be a really bad E1M1 ripoff, but gets surprisingly good as you play further. It's no walk in the park either, I was down to 6% health at one stage. Some great new concepts and familiar yet redesigned setpieces, and a good level of detail without going over the top. A couple of amateur odd texture placements, esp in the nukage room as stated above. Definitely worth a look. 4/5

Average. The level design is decent, but I didn't like the textures used in this level.

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
