About This File

Warning: This was designed as a very tough single player wad....only one skill level is available.....and it's not easy. For this reason I am also including a walkthrough below. The hints are in the order of the game play and separated by page breaks. Health and ammo are minimal because I've maxed out the number of objects that Ver 1.1 can handle on save games. Certain parts of this Wad will require at least a 486dx266 to run tolerably

Not canonically beauty from layout and some monster placement, but this map was a big fun for me! A level with some pretty mesmerizing places like the starting point, the raising pits, the really abstract techbase feel, the room lighting up a little when the player crosses some hidden lines in the mazes, the weird "theater" room that reminded me of Icon of Sin for some reason, the overall spooky feel, the final throne room... Great stuff.

Things i've kind of disliked are the maze section (especially the skull walls one), some lift that doesn't work (the one where the... blue skull key is iirc and the one that leads to the red door) and the switch puzzle is pretty dull to understand, at least for me... the one with the numbers in the sector, then after one day i get that the numbers are correct order to solve the puzzle lol. Also that horrible teleport maze-like room after the yellow key, damn!

Also, this map doesn't screw you around with the difficulty, as the previous reviewer commented this map can be compared to Deus Vult in that terms of difficulty and epic exploration, really. Just a raw 1996 version of it, but the comparison is all here imo.

Overall, a big and fun map to play for me. Cool stuff

pretty fun. huge architecture/map. reminds me of a not-nearly-as-diffic ult, not-nearly-as-detail ed, doom1, 94' version of Deus Vult. But still, not that bad. too maze-like in areas, and poor texture choices/alignment. i played this in zdoom and some doors didn't work, so use prboom or chocolate if you play.

One of the classic megawads, and the successor to TNT Evilution. I've played this several times over the years, and its grown on me more with each play as my tastes mature.   Still has a bunch of maps that got me killed in 2024, after ive finished stuff like HR and AV, and plenty of maps are memorable. Only real downsides is some of the levels have little content, showing its age.

One of the earliest Doom user maps and It shows. Despite the raw and empty design, the author take a good use of 3D space creating a small fortress surrounded by mountains, the level Is fun to play and not hard. A fancy escapade and a piece of modding history.

Third and final released map of a WIP episode by David Rager, it's more long, complex and hard than the previous entries in the series. A well made map with pretty challenging parts with a mix of monster usage, envoirnmental hazards and some puzzle gameplay. Fun but pretty harsh.

Two more misplaced DM maps without a exit like QUDOOM (that at least had a exit room, while not functional) that caught me by their file name and leave me for the bad experience in SP. Chicken is just a long bridge between a thundering abyss where cyberdemons wants to destroy you, meh. Gangstar is a more fun map sets in a big, abstract warehouse where a cyberdemon roam free trying to kill you, shotgunners and lost souls are here in this Hell corner adding more pain to the thing, enforced by semi-hidden mazes, my favorite.

This is like the physical version of the "we have X at home" meme in DM map format for Quake E1M1. Very poorly made, broken exit and missing textures here and there but at least the level KINDA resembles the original source somehow.
