About This File

Looks like Hell Keep has been redecorated to look more like a fortress or castle. This is a remake tribute to E3M1.

And see also id=12875, perhaps the first E3M1 remake ever (from March 1994).

This is very reminiscent of the original, although it looks much more like a keep. There's a drawbridge and a moat (that you can't get out of). The other good idea is the collapsing pathway, which isn't so obvious (although again, you can't get out of it). There's an odd descending wall that doesn't seem to do anything. Overal it's decent, not as good as id=14816, better than id=12156 or the E3M1 in id=12484.

Its pretty good, it looks nice and is much more challening than the original E3M1. A few texture misalignments dosent affect my rating. Good gameplay. 4 Stars -PC

Doh! I forgot to mention in this readme: I accidentally left a middle texture BROWN96 behind the Rocket Launcher secret. Ignore that, as I will make a fix for that soon. - Impboy

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.

What the actual f*ck is this map. I love having 4 rockets, a shit ton of bullets and like 10 shotgun shells to take out a revenant, and whatever was in that cage. Doesn't look too bad, maybe this negativity is cus im no expert, also rather unskilled at the game?

thank god Underhalls was the map that followed this mod as that level was able to remind me what actually competent level design looks like.

Not that bad, even kind of interesting find the secrets in the map! But yeah, that switches jungle is a awful choice really.
