About This File

Yay first map :P

Edit 10.10.2007: After over a year, I've decided I might as well release this, since it's unlikely I'll ever make another map. The area outside the window that was supposed to be the starting area for the next map will stay the pointless detail that it is now :P

Main reason why I made this was to see how long it would take me to learn DB. I also wanted to try making a decently challenging map with DOOM's limited set of monsters. /edit

Very well put together. A nice little action-packed map with great use of graphics and such. Pretty hard, but quite fun nonetheless. 4/5

This isn't insanely difficult. It's good for an experienced player. I had no issue playing it. Found it to be a lot of fun. You just have to do a lot of dodging and often the monsters kill themselves. Focus your efforts on the shotgunners and the cacos because they'll mess you up. 4/5.

This is from June 2006. It's an entertaining map with an E1-style layout, although there are many more and tougher monsters than in a real E1 level. I played it in Nightmare Tyson mode with the keyboard and didn't have any problems, but lesser players might struggle. In theory it's tight on ammo, but you have a berzerk pack and infinite fists. One of the few levels where the cyberdemon is your friend.

nice challenging and addictive gameplay. i've already played it several times. the detail is simple but well done. my only complaint is that it is possible to lock yourself in the outside courtyard if, after releasing the cybie, you run into the main building, hit the switch to the right and run back outside to grab some health you saved -- such as what i did. it seemed that there was no way to open the door anymore and so i had to noclip through it. other than that, great stuff ****

This was a disappointment after all the positive reviews. It's decent enough for a first map, but otherwise doesn't impress. I was surprised that the gameplay was the weakest part of this level, considering the author. Belial shows promise, but I can't give this one more than 2 stars.

I dunno I liked it. I died at the end though because I decided to save the berserk pack for later, however the bars locked it out. I really needed it to fend off all those demons.

An excellent first map. Its a small and tough, challenging map and you need to be very careful. Remember if you see a shotgun guy kill him first first. Pretty dark E1ish base with some good lighting effects. A few texture misalignments. 4 Stars -PC

Played on UV -fast. Tough start, tricky middle and satisfying finish. There is enough ammo if you don't spray the walls with pellets and a little 'in house' fighting also helps. Health is short, but adequate. To the previous reviewer: I rather like the placement of the Barons... their guts splattered all over the walls :) A solid 4/5

Ahahaha, vomit, right. You must be one of those morons that thinks Belial is a big-meanie-face and can't criticize unless he makes something better. 4/5

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
