About This File

map01: mainly rusty metal, tech; map02: clean tech base, a bit hellish; --------------------------------------------------- Your mission: Seek three mystical skulls. Use their collective power to destroy the Source of Evil. --------------------------------------------------- Notes: I recommend to play map02 from pistol start. No jumping.

I think it's made not for playing because it's unplayable.

Does it have a lot of details and some creative Boom scripting? Absolutely. Is it actually fun to play? Absolutely not.

What a fantastic couple of maps. What a fantastic usage of Boom features. My only gripe is the adventuresque obtaining of skullkeys in MAP01 which is very difficult to figure out, especially the blue skull. But the good things outweight this one drawback.

Extremely detailed, but the levels are a bit confusing to navigate around in, even with the Automap powerup you can find. 4/5

I really like the layout and details. The gamplay was decent, but sometimes little confusing. Sometimes I have to wander all over the map to find some keys. Overall it was nice experience and the ending was great. 4/5 - Damned

The first level is a comfusing mess, but the second level is considerably better for gameplay. I only got stuck/seriously confused with it once. 5/5 because you really should not miss Map02.

Two levels dated October 2007. The title is "and die without" in Spanish. Map01 is a canyon-techbase level with lots of fussy but occasionally clever, Doom 3-esque detailing. Unfortunately it's switch-hunty, with a thing for tiny little switches. Seems to not work properly with modern versions of GZDoom at least; PRBoom is fine. Map02 is similar but there's more action, so it's better. It almost feels as if the author was learning as he went along.

this is awful. it looks nice, but that's where it ends. non-linearity is great, but when you have you

Terrible layout. But I'll be a minority here and say that the details present in the map don't really look that good. Below average for my tastes. Oh, and, the overall look of the maps weren't too good either. A lot of textures that just didn't match up.

This is a very good example of a very good work that got ruined due to bad layout. 0/5

Pretty decent, acceptably detailed, gameplay is decent as well. The puzzles are a bit confusing though, you have to do a bit of switch-hunting in areas. Overall, it's worth a playthrough if you have some time to kill, three stars

Annoying switch hunt, way too dark and every room looks exactly the same. Avoid unless you like being bored/annoyed.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.

What the actual f*ck is this map. I love having 4 rockets, a shit ton of bullets and like 10 shotgun shells to take out a revenant, and whatever was in that cage. Doesn't look too bad, maybe this negativity is cus im no expert, also rather unskilled at the game?

thank god Underhalls was the map that followed this mod as that level was able to remind me what actually competent level design looks like.

Not that bad, even kind of interesting find the secrets in the map! But yeah, that switches jungle is a awful choice really.
