About This File

The American Heritage Dictionary defines "infantry" as "The branch of an army made up of units trained to fight on foot." I bet the people who wrote that never saw Hell's infantry...

Inspired by Nuts, which is arguably one of the greatest jokewads ever made, Infantry pits you against row after row of monsters fully prepared to die in order to keep you from reaching their leader.

Good balance for uv-max: tricky to survive since there are no health items and you have to use the BFG efficiently to get 100% kills. I liked it.

This was inspired by Nuts.wad, although it is vastly inferior. You start in a big square room and there are 242 monsters. Nuts had over 10,000. It's a trivial matter to run around the outside and reach the end, which has John Romero's head on a stick. I finished it in less than a minute. It doesn't work at all - it's not as extreme as Nuts and it's no fun to play.

Well, at least it downloads plays quickly. Do you need a level that's a large square room with about 250 monsters of a variety of types for some reason? Then this is your file. Otherwise, ignore it.

I'm giving this one 0/5 stars because it was an absolute pointless level and more of an experiment, a stupid experiment. But fun to play if you use the cheat codes, a dehacked patch or the summon command in zdoom. But its more likely you'll be playing this no more than 2 times. Look at the above comments - the frustration. Yeah, wanna be happy; well its best not to bother with this one! -PC

Calling this a "tribute" to Nuts.wad is just a piss-poor excuse to make and release a really crappy level that consists only a big square room filled with a bunch of monsters (this has less than 3% the amount of monsters Nuts.wad has), and Romero's severed head on a stick. This is beyond awful. 0/5

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.

What the actual f*ck is this map. I love having 4 rockets, a shit ton of bullets and like 10 shotgun shells to take out a revenant, and whatever was in that cage. Doesn't look too bad, maybe this negativity is cus im no expert, also rather unskilled at the game?
