About This File

At last, you've found the warp gate facility your superiors said was abandoned 21 years ago. Thank God they put you on leave, or else you'd have /never/ be able to find it! Stumbling over something on your way in, you open your way into a well-lit room with a large door... and the sounds of feasting behind it.

Just then, you remember this base was abandoned for a reason...

---

This is a speedmap that I did in ten hours on my 21st birthday, hence the first part of the title. Small and short, as can be expected, but it should be fun to play. Watch your health! This level uses textures from The Darkening Episode 2, Suspended in Dusk, and Nick Baker's Useful Flats pack.

you're not gonna find anything but the nitty and gritty in this small map, which looks and appropriately plays like a standard MAP01. small-scale combat, divided into three sections with several secrets in each one. yes, it's easy, but given that its a speedmap by nature it is pretty much made to be quick and easy.

A nice and fun little map.  Also, I don't know if it was intentional or not, but the way those panels blinked really fast - it was like they were blinking in time with that fun, fast-paced midi.  Either way, it was a nice touch.

You seriously need to do more maps.  If this map was any example of what you can do, then you certainly need to do more!

Short sweet map. No objectives, just killing. Health is places in tight corners, so I  usually miss them. Aesthetic is very bland and uninspired. Very easy, but fun.

It's a brilliant map, although it was a bit too easy even without the secrets. 3 stars. - Obsidian

Very engaging and certainly a very good level one map. I had the sense that anything could happen while I was playing this, and I thought you could have capitalized more on that sense of uncertainty. Secrets were also done very well. I found four of them during my play-through.

This is a fast-moving E1-style map, with some good-looking modern textures. You get a berzerk pack at the start, and it's good fun in Tyson mode. It's very bit easy, though, perhaps because it's meant to be an E1M1-style map - you only get 45 weak monsters (imps and former humans), and you can just wait by doors until they walk through, and then punch 'em into piles of goo.

It's good, but the texture-use is monotonous, so I gave it 3/5!

Solid map, especially for the amount of time it took to make.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.

What the actual f*ck is this map. I love having 4 rockets, a shit ton of bullets and like 10 shotgun shells to take out a revenant, and whatever was in that cage. Doesn't look too bad, maybe this negativity is cus im no expert, also rather unskilled at the game?

thank god Underhalls was the map that followed this mod as that level was able to remind me what actually competent level design looks like.

Not that bad, even kind of interesting find the secrets in the map! But yeah, that switches jungle is a awful choice really.
