About This File

The quest for the BFG continues.... into a bright and colorful virtual world, where even ordinary laws of physics may be bent a little at times. Several textures were used from hacx, but due to the limited amount of virtual reality textures Hacx had to offer, I ended up making many of my own (either by creating color variations of textures in hacx, or simply making new textures from scratch.) The story is in game, in the form of skippable cutscenes (except the last one on level three, which is the player's choice to simply quit the game or not by then, since the stats are already shown beforehand.) Therefore, I am not going to monologue in this text file :P. The plot is semi-humorous, since I don't think I could make a completely serious plot. The wad is technically three maps, but it plays as one. Oh yes, I almost forgot to mention this wad can be very difficult.

storyline stuff good, but the gameplay rapes itself 10x over. Too many missing textures. WTF. Just quit it w/ the noob project. It keeps getting worser and worser. NP4 is hard enough to grant itself the very same score. ~0/5

Doesn't work in latest GZDoom: you get stuck after the first cutscene. 0/5. Sorry, but really. - ZZ

Great Stuff. I love it when people do more experimental things like the computer level.

This is really legendary. If you play this, you will never forget about it. Partial, there is not enough ammo (or I didn't find enough). Unfortunately the jumping parts ruined the playability. However 5/5

Wow, this is a first timer. A very, perhaps too colorful map, based as an inside of a computer. Lol, I loved it. Alot. It runs a little slow with GZDoom at some part, but I could care less. Looking forward for the sequel. 5/5 -Moti

This is reminiscent of 8BITCTF, in the sense that it takes place in a series of brightly-coloured TRON-style environments. It looks wonderful, and it clearly took a lot of time to make; but I hated it, because of the platform elements. You have to do a lot of jumping, and if you miss - which is easy to do - you fall off and die stone dead. If the level had ramps instead of little steps it would be much better.

As of ZDoom r4208 or GZDoom r1549, the broken teleport in this map works once again.

Even though it is obvious that a good amount of effort went into the creation of this map, its understandable why some wouldn't like it. You would have to be good at jumping gaps while dodging enemy fire. I suppose the only reason I could do it well is because I play Zdaemon rocket jump maps often. As for the theme, it is definitely not like most doom maps. I found the colorful theme appealing, but some may not like it since it isn't the usual grungy tech/hellish doom map. Minus 1 star for gameplay. 4/5

What the fuck?! I can't even get past the computer-virus cutscene. I'm just stuck on that square tile and I can't even fucking move out of there, nothing happends! WTF?! 0/5 for failure to fix bugs.

Excellent work here. This is exactly how I would envision a computerized world to look. The story was fun as well. 5 stars for this. Well done and keep up the good work.

I liked both the map and the storyline. They are pretty unique to be honest, and they were quite entertaining. Nevertheless, I have to admit that some areas of the digital world were much too difficult, and some a little troublesome / frustrating. Also, the author may want to revise the wad and re-launch a patched version: you no longer teleport the digital world in newer (G)Zdoom versions.

Did you... did you get your friends to five-star this? This clumsy, hop-skotch, giant eye-raper doesn't deserve five stars anyway, but that's just incredibly lame. -Remiel

I love the vibrant colored stage, and its complexity makes it challenging and fun, without being too easy. Great job executing the whole skybox thing for the virtual effect, and the utilization of cinematics. 5/5 -Lin a.k.a. Ru-Hisakata-Yume

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.

What the actual f*ck is this map. I love having 4 rockets, a shit ton of bullets and like 10 shotgun shells to take out a revenant, and whatever was in that cage. Doesn't look too bad, maybe this negativity is cus im no expert, also rather unskilled at the game?

thank god Underhalls was the map that followed this mod as that level was able to remind me what actually competent level design looks like.

Not that bad, even kind of interesting find the secrets in the map! But yeah, that switches jungle is a awful choice really.

A basic and nice looking showroom type of map where monsters are trapped inside glass prisons, no exit and no way to play this with any modern source Port like DSDA-Doom and GZDoom, but works really well in Crispy Doom. It was a pleasant experience.
