This is an excellent episode and I really Enjoyed it. So don't be put off by the name. I fixed E2M6 by flipping 4 linedefs which had no front sidedef. Turns out that E2M6 is probably the best map in the episode. Looking forward to NMD3. **** -PC

I couldn't really get into this map set, I liked part 1 better. But 3 stars for a decent set overall.-Candle M

It got better as I got further. Maps 7, 8 and 9 were my favourite, probably because they were the only ones that challenged me. Fixing map 6 was no problem, it took like 1 minute to do. I would have liked to have seen some more open areas with more scenarios where monsters come from the back and front or stay in the level, instead of the straightforward kill-everything-in-f ront-of- the-player approach. I think this was better than the 1st one, though I can't remember it very well hahaha...

Marvellous episode with nice balance making for fast action packed fun. Even though I had to do a quick fix on E2M6, I still really enjoyed this. Couldnt' wait for the fix AND can't wait for the next episode. Details? Details? I don't need no steenking details! 4/5

I was disappointed by this, it felt too mazey and haphazardly-arranged . Needs more detail? Needs more layout.

An excellent episode. Good E2 style maps and just enough architecture. As eluded, it is not the most detailed or massive or the best looking was in the world but like the first episode, I wouldn't say it "needs more detail" either. A good blast from the past. 5/5

I thought E2M8 & E2M9 were a lot better then the original maps. E2M8 had a more better feel to it then starting out in front of a few switches, it had a more inclined introduction to the Cyberdemon. E2M9 had a much better starting point, although I did miss the onslaught of Barons from all sides. Other then that this was a quite decent map. 4/5?

Very good level set. NMD had already been good and I think this one was more faithful to the original's feel than the E1 remake. There are some areas that recall sections from the original maps, and at least two levels around the middle are reminiscent of E2M5 in certain ways. Last but not least, the action is good and a bit harder than in the originals. [4/5] ~Chain Mail (09/2008)

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.

What the actual f*ck is this map. I love having 4 rockets, a shit ton of bullets and like 10 shotgun shells to take out a revenant, and whatever was in that cage. Doesn't look too bad, maybe this negativity is cus im no expert, also rather unskilled at the game?

thank god Underhalls was the map that followed this mod as that level was able to remind me what actually competent level design looks like.

Not that bad, even kind of interesting find the secrets in the map! But yeah, that switches jungle is a awful choice really.
