I wanted to like this since it purports to be Doom 64-inspired (a game I love), but unfortunately it doesn't hit the mark at all. Very few stock Doom 2 textures have been replaced. The monster sprites are all D64 rips, but only some of the sounds have been changed. The weapon sprites are rips too, but their animations are pretty poor. And overall it fails to capture the atmosphere of D64, having a rock & roll MIDI soundtrack and almost all bright lighting. Beyond the failure to emulate D64, the level design is simply not fun. There are way too many doors, half of which require a switch yet have zero distinguishing features - meaning you'll constantly be stopping to open doors, half of the time not even being able to progress. And the switches to open those doors are in completely random locations, meaning you never know exactly where to go next - just that you have to backtrack somewhere. Overall not at all an enjoyable experience.

I hate Doom 64, so I don't like this one... You have to be a real Doom 64 freak to find this interesting. 2/5, because the level alone looks good.

It has good action and funny doom64 gfx but it had me running around because a button opened some random door that is not connected for the 20th time. Ugh! Or is it trying to mock the Doom64 gameplay (I haven't played it but one level and I remember something similar :P) 3/5 - Optimus

It was okay for a DooM 64 based map, couldn't really get into it much. 3/5.-Candle M

This map is broken... It seems you start at the exit, and taking 2 steps forward ends the level.

Open the zip, extract the pk3 file, rename pk3 to *.zip, open said zip and extract Crimson.wad. Now edit Crimson.wad in your favourite editor and move the player1 start to where the player 2, 3 & 4 are... it's actually a pretty good map without all the other *.wad's added (in my opinion). This is a 4 maybe a 5 star wad, but only 3 due to cataclysmic error. 3/5

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.

What the actual f*ck is this map. I love having 4 rockets, a shit ton of bullets and like 10 shotgun shells to take out a revenant, and whatever was in that cage. Doesn't look too bad, maybe this negativity is cus im no expert, also rather unskilled at the game?

thank god Underhalls was the map that followed this mod as that level was able to remind me what actually competent level design looks like.

Not that bad, even kind of interesting find the secrets in the map! But yeah, that switches jungle is a awful choice really.

A basic and nice looking showroom type of map where monsters are trapped inside glass prisons, no exit and no way to play this with any modern source Port like DSDA-Doom and GZDoom, but works really well in Crispy Doom. It was a pleasant experience.
