i finished the pack and even warped to secret maps because i haven't found them. damn, i was so happy when i finished e3m0 (that was after the final battle of e3m9) when all that music made my cry, the last cutscene of funny music and the camera floating around made me happy. damn, that made my day! this pack gets 4 stars at least because of very good map design and all scripted sequences but doesn't get the fifth star because of hard difficulty and i played on HMP. i bet UV is impossible.

I cannot get THIS PACK TO WORK DUE TO THE PRESENCE OF SKULTAG. i got the thunpeak.wad and it rocked Meatloaf style. if the other maps in the pack are as good then it will justify the HOUR AND A HALF it took to download. 5/5 posted by Zarrion The Insect.

Not bad overall, some levels are quite bland, but there's also a few can't misses in here (and no, not just Thunderpeak), and then some other maps that should appeal to at least a portion of the crowd.

I remember I've been waiting without patience for this wad, and imagine how much disappointed it gave me! Well, its better than knee deep in the shit, but this is still boring and could have been done ALOT better. xaver's map was godlike though. 2/5

Fucking awesome megaWAD. Was hoping for something a bit more epic with regards to the final boss, but that's just me. :P

The first level starts you off in a room where you can shoot monsters but they can't shoot you - lame - and it goes downhill from there. All the "atmospheric" Quake sounds, sloped surfaces, overused bestiary monsters and scripting in the world can't save maps which are essentially just boring and flawed layouts. COPYPASTE = DETAIL, RIGHT GUYS? RIGHT? Play Tormentor667 and Vader's maps, skip the rest. 2/5

I was stopped cold at E1M2 in the middle of nearly beating it in the first playthrough when I tried to grab the bullet box out from underneath the rocket trap, except I didn't have enough speed because that room is way too small for a rocket trap, and got blindsided by a flowery piece explosive ordnance. I kind of... never played ZPack again. 3/5 -Remiel

Amazing. The new (and old) sprites, levels, weapons, sounds, music provides an explosively entertaining mixture of surreal video game blasting action. All your favorite enemies from your favorite 2d games are here, and presented in some very interesting ways, not the least of which is a 60 ft tall cultist from blood. Pixel-tripping at its finest. ~BeyondNecroDome

Apparently this wasn't uploaded by the authors but by some random smuck who got it from the open beta on the ZDoom forums. Weird. But that means they're still working on it! Seems to be a lot of great maps with a wide range of gameplay. There are a few scummy ones though. Can't wait for the real release!

Zippy's E2M6 appears to be horrendously underappreciated, I found that to be one of the coolest maps ever in the history of the universe.

There's some junk in here but it's not like Vader's stuff is the ONLY gems to be had their (though it's arguably the best). I'd put Zippy's E2M6 and Xaser's E3M10 is the same 'great map' group as well though, at the very least. T667 stuff is good for fans of the author too. And probably more likely than not there'll be at least a few others you like. The time limit level didn't bother me terribly though I see how it could annoy some.

Okay. Most of the levels are boring or poorly thought out. Some of them are just plain awful. The only recommended maps worth checking out are Xaser's Sector and any of the maps by Vader like Blackrock. Don't bother with anything else unless you're extremely bored and have nothing better to do, you won't be impressed otherwise. ~ SnowKate709

this pack is good, i like the level design but FUCK, i don't like the custom monsters!!! some of them are good, some others suck! but i wish to use this with my monsters pack randomizer otherwise this doesnt work well due of duplicate monsters (Afrit, Suicide Bomber, Blood Fiend, etc) and if i delete monsters from wad, i think will appear a sign in their places!! i hate this when happens. i give 5 stars for mostly level design and 1 star for monsters. resulting 3 stars!!

A word to the wise: Do *not* comment on the wad's quality until you've actually *tried* all the maps. For how can one honestly say Vader's maps are nothing short of amazing? Also epic are "Terror Cube" and "The Spirit Underworld". "Fanboy" is cool in its own right, and Phobus's maps aren't half bad either. Can't really comment on Sector, but it's original, anyhow. Fived anyway -- grab bags always hide a real treat or two. -Xaser

All of the maps are beautiful, that's for sure. Episode 1 was so-so for me, Episode 2 was above average, and Episode 3 was quite good (but I like the hellish/gothic stuff, so...). Overall, pretty good work--just has a weak start. 4/5

i'm in episode 3 now! episode 2 was the hardest i believe, i died at least once in every level and i played very carefully with mouse and strafing and more. i'm not the best player around but still a good one and i played at medium skill (HMP).

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.

What the actual f*ck is this map. I love having 4 rockets, a shit ton of bullets and like 10 shotgun shells to take out a revenant, and whatever was in that cage. Doesn't look too bad, maybe this negativity is cus im no expert, also rather unskilled at the game?

thank god Underhalls was the map that followed this mod as that level was able to remind me what actually competent level design looks like.

Not that bad, even kind of interesting find the secrets in the map! But yeah, that switches jungle is a awful choice really.
