Basically a part of E2M1 with some small random extensions and a few Tormentor667 (or so) monsters. There is about no architecture, almost no ambiance, and the short and totally uninteresting gameplay has nothing like a leitmotiv, you'll find just a few ugly places with some random monsters. And a lót of texture misalignments. Overall it looks & feels like being made during lunchtime. 1* WOT, and believe the absurd 5* legendary votes on your own risk.

ok map, kinda feels like you'd expect more though.

Awful. Too many damaging floors; unnecessary use of DECORATE monsters, the last secret is 100% pointless since everything is dead, many texture misalignments. Nothing special.

Solid map; eventually very challenging. The new monsters didn't bother me.

A re-imagining of E2M1 with excellent design, great flow and some nasty surprises. Too much use of damaging floors without health or alternate routes, and the Hectebus was either too hard in his tunnel or too easy if you retreat back to the small flesh area where you can just snipe at him. What's the point of a secret with invisibility AFTER I've killed all the bad guys? Looks great, plays like crap. 2/5

Yes indeed. The hectebus ruined my day. Except that, it was quite nice.

I rather enjoyed it. The plasma zombies were an unexpected twist, and the "Hectebus" made for an interesting boss fight. The stage provided just enough enemies to be a challenge, without running out of ammo or being forced into a corner. A good stage; 5/5

Enjoyed that. Liked the Plasma Zombies, was not a big fan of the Hectebus before but with a little retreating he wasn't a problem in this map. Progression was straight-forward, which is always welcome.

Too many damaging floors. And plasma guys that ambush you as you run across them to a medikit. Good looking, mind

A pretty decent remake of a classic map, the Hectebus ruined it because IMO it wasn't meant to be in Ultimate DooM. But the plasma guys were a nice touch! Over all, I shall give this a 3/5.-Candle M

It was a good map but the hectubus was a bad idea.

Good E2M1 re-imagining. Not similar enough to just feel like the map itself, and much harder too. Doesn't stand out, but worth doing that download.

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
