About This File

This wad takes a look at a load of old crap I can't release, sees what it likes and uses it to its own ends. Its also a rollercoaster ride through an awful lot of different themes and areas. The scary part is, this is also a highly planned out wad. Not a sequel to Scars of the Wounded Prey. The aim here was to take the fun of those innocent years back in the 90s, and put them into a more modern wad. Jumping and Crouching required. This map works as 10 levels in one (hence 9 different music tracks (two used twice)) and has thrown realism out of the window so gameplay works like it's meant to. If ammo gets short, it might be worth not killing the monsters that don't have to be, or using alternative methods to kill them if available.

Your project brings the old-school style to a different way of playing it...this megamap is awesome...not all the maps nowadays are like this. Excellent work... 5/5 - Morpheus

This is a large level from July 2008, split into a series of themed zones. For the most part it looks like something from 1995; the source port features are spurious and add nothing to the gameplay (e.g. fog, the silly crouching). Gameplay relies on switch / trigger / monster quotas for progression. Far too many winding catwalks (sections 5 and 6 are almost the same); once you get the plasma gun you can run through most of the rest. Picks up at the end though.

I love it, really! I like how you put all that maps into one. The chapters, the music, the progression of the game... I can only say two bad things about it: the music of Chapter 5 does not suit, and in Chapters 9 and 10 the difficulty is sometimes crazy. But, overall, I give it a 5/5. Great work, man!

That was fun to play. Really fun. I enjoyed every part of the map. Some secrets were pretty easy to find, but yet I didn't manage to find them all. Great work, keep it up. 5/5 -Moti

Classic funny little skin, still used in servers to this day so I think it deserves some love.   I like that the voice clip says “WHERE ARE A MY PANTS?”

More an exercise in 3-d artwork than a game. Just someone's bedroom with a HK in a tiny lobby outside the door, and a Caco in a tiny yard outside the window. A BFG and Invisibilty Sphere are also in the yard but you can't get out there. I think the name is a clue - maybe this was the start of a bigger level, then abandoned. He ought to have allowed it as a base for development.

Starts with all monsters with their backs to you, and you might as well leave it that way and just listen to the music. One big rectangular room with no finish switch. They couldn't even make the rectangle properly - freehand I guess. Kill the monsters if you want, it's easy.

Superb firework display of thousands of fireballs seeming in slow motion because of the vastness - mostly avoidable as they land where you were ages ago; but worth playing just to see it. A HUGE square surrounded by tiers with hundreds of imps and a few others, plus a blockhouse you can enter first to collect ammo.  Fighting through the hundreds of monsters when you get onto the tiers is another matter, overwhelming at UV. I cheated to finish so at least I could review.  Some HOM bugs.
