About This File

This is a map with Quake metal textures. At first it was designed for Zdoom, but as I experimented with coloured lighting and 3d floors in GZDoom, I didn't go back.

There is little difference between Hurt Me Plenty and Ultra Violence, but one area may be easier for some players on Hurt Me Plenty. So play that mode if you suck.

This may be my last map for a while as I'm venturing into Quake mapping. I figure it'll be easier mapping for Quake rather trying to do Quake levels in Doom. My next design on paper is for Quake, but I'll probably port it over to Doom at a later date. Not to mention I still haven't finished the 75% complete Doom level I worked on almost a year ago.

Please see 'bugs' below about sliding doors.

Fun and somewhat challenging. Rough around the edges and a little stingy on health packs but a good map nevertheless. Good job.

One of the elevators is missing a lower texture. Also, "Herbert"? Outside of that, quite nice. :)

Very good challenging map with Quake architecture and mostly Doom monsters and gameplay. Balance is very tight but sufficient. 5/5

Not bad. I like the Hexen (or was it Heretic?) enemies. I found a HOM on one of the elevators. I think it's right before you hit some switch, close to where you get the yellow key.

Nice map, I liked it! The HOM ruined it a bit, but that was only a minor flaw. Overall it was good! 4/5!-Candle M

Decent lighting, architecture and layout for the time.   Only 9 monsters, (only zombiemen) so there's no difficulty here of any kind...   This feels like this would be far superior as a deathmatch map. The map's layout has a fairly good flow - I think fragging a couple friends here would be fun, after a few changes in the map.   2/5

It's hard to describe these 4 maps. They are strange and psychedelic. I'm going to listen those midis over and over again. Also, there are some curious paintings on the house finale.

City levels don't appeal me at all. Except Doom City. Points for the subway exit.

Great Doom 1 single map wad, for us strange Doom 1 people. Complex, non-liean design, entertaining ambushes sprinkled around keeping you on your toes, with balanced ammo, and not much health lying around. This is a very long map, however, (30-50 mins), and it can get a bit boring after a while, especially when it comes to the - otherwise neat, very heavy metal-ish - music.   Do give it a try.

Lots of narrow corridors, one of those fake elevators and somewhat boring fights.
