About This File

Well, this is my 10th effort at wad design. I tried to pay careful attention to detail on this one. It's much more fun to play a level if you are completely emmersed in it and feel like a part of the game environment. Let me know what you think...

*title note* I was tired of the same old level names and decided to pay tribute to one of my favorite artists...

not sure what this had to do with M.C.E. but this was a good map anyways.

One of the first PWADS I downloaded. Worth it.

2,5/5 for this one. Needs more detail, but well: it is an old wad. So, it is ok.

This disappointed me a little. I was expecting something reminiscent of id=14036, but playable; in reality it's a good 1995-style dungeon level, and has nothing to do with M C Escher's mindbending woodcuts. There's a lot of action, some amateur bugs, no real challenge because you have masses of health and ammo, and the ending is a was-that-it? affair. But I enjoyed it in a retro way.

Not a bad map, I shall say. Its a dungeon style map, and it had a steady flow. The number of secrets was just wow. Good if you are looking for a retro dungeon style wad. 3/5.-Candle M

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
