Reviewer #1: Why don't you just stick with Halo if you don't like 'drab'! Reviewer #2: I agree. Reviewer #3: I disagree. In the 90's, wad builders were at least trying their best to create decent wads, albeit some were not good. These days we have a hoard of imbeciles throwing their excrement at us in torrents. This is a good wad with great battles and a decent layout, and for a 'drab' level has some nice architecture. I for one liked it. 4/5

I had fun playing through this. It's relatively challenging because health tends to be scarce, although it did not seem too tough because I made it to the exit on the third try (from scratch). My health was low for long periods, though. The various doors make arch-viles more dangerous because ghost monsters are likely (I was careful and only got 1 imp when I did have rockets). I also liked the simplistic urban architecture. [4/5] ~Chain Mail (9/2008)

Meh it was a bit dull due to the switch hunting.

Meh. It's ok. It's a boring map. It's nothing special.

Not a bad slaughter map, even if it's far from the best.

Naaa, a bit too hard for my taste (even on lower settings), but it is from 1995, so: 3/5

This is dated November 2002. It's s dull warehouse level, where you basically just fight large groups of weak monsters in a series of square rooms. There's a bit of switchhunting and backtracking. The level has a lot of action, and on that level it works, but it just feels like a chore to play through, because it's so monotonous. And drab, too, it looks like something from 1995

Pretty good, well-choreographed action in a non-monotonous environment. And let's remember that some of the best Doom wads were made in 1995.

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
