About This File

Urban Brawl is the prequel to Scuba Steve's: Action Doom, telling your character's history before those events. Urban Brawl embodies a comic book look and feel with cell shaded graphics and story sequences. All of this is fused with a gameplay that is reminicent of an old beat-em up game.

After the credits show up and you see the "Thanks for playing stuff" Don't leave! You will see a little secret which is about Action Doom 3, the author probably though nobody will see it. Anyways, great game. -Jas691

While this is impressive what can be achieved with Zdoom, this plays horribly. Sorry Scuba, you did a good job on this with all the work, but the game play and confusing visuals put me off on this. 0/5.

The previous comment should be made by a bumpkin. A large TC, his only fault is not to be longer. Masterpiece. 6/5

Simply Legendary, who cares how much you like Action Doom 1? Why does every sequel have to be the same as the first but added some new things? This is different, and good. I gave Action Doom 1 5/5 for bring what it is, and Action Doom 2 will also get 5/5 for being the same legendary wad, with a new idea.

Some people here think that this wad deserves praise only because it uses completely original resources.... Think again. This sucks, I don't give a fuck if the resources are original or not. I'd rather see a good level with duke3d enemies and textures rather than a sequel to this piece of crap. 0/5

Good portfolio piece if you're looking to break into the gaming industry....but this map (doom was originally made for a 486?)froze my machine(Pentium 4)one too many times...so I gave up. Gameplay was repetitive and annoying at times. It's definitely not Doom. 2/5

I have never had more fun playing Doom than with this. The fact that it is so unique and detailed makes it all the more supreme. Hats off to all of you; this is as good a game mod as you'll ever get.

Legendary! Inovative! Really this deserves 5 stars. It has nice graphics and details, great music and sounds (I like the voice acting). And the story is well telled. The gameplay is fun too. 5/5 - Damned

I liked it for the most part. The only things I didn't like were health bar bullshit, it's not my style, I prefer classic 100 Health system, so I had to use a custom HUD to show numerical health because for some reason Alternate HUD doesn't work. I also hated the subway fights, especially part with the 2 guys, it was too hard and had to save scum to get past them, otherwise I die and get sent to forest. I give 4*

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
