About This File

A techno-style WAD - UAC base on a far planet Yuggot. This WAD was made for First-Demo Contest ¹ 5 which was going on August, 9th, 2008, on iddqd.ru. An essence of that contest was that the unfamiliar map is given to participants and by the command of the organizer they simultaneously begin recording first demos. The winner is that participant who will complete the level first, taking into account all respawns (record interruption wasn`t allowed). So, this WAD was made mostly for recording first-try demos.

I'm pretty sure this might need to be taken down... The readme for RTC-3057 said specifically not to use its resources.

This is a good, simple level with an indeterminate design style, somewhere between slime refinery and techbase. I took just over ten minutes on my first go, but that's because I was being cautious (especially with the rockets; I didn't want to blow myself up). There's a clever, odd secret with an invisibly teleporting maze, but apart from that it's not overtly source porty. Against it, it's a bit mazey and very square, except at the end.

Yes, it is a very nice wad. ^ If you want a challenge try to do a speed run under a minute... not every map needs a hundred thousand archviles. My best time is 1:04. I thought the map was consistent, the traps were engaging, and the look was very nice. 5/5

Not bad. It was a bit challenging for me having to fend off against a bunch of Demons and Imps at that one beginning part where you flipped that one switch, but then again, I wasn't really that good at this game to begin with. That blue area at the end of the map looked cool though. 4/5

I must say that was a pretty cool map though used too much copy&paste at some places, but man sure last outdoor area made me go "wow", gameplay was fine not to mention that revenant near RL surprised me, secrets were cool, i can give it 4/5 but no MORE due that repetive design in beginning of the map - Alter

This map isn't that long but I absolutely loved it! I don't know, I liked the music track and it just looked and felt "right". Decent challenge too. 4.5(5)/5
