About This File

This is a three-levels demo of full version of Eternal Revelation megawad. Who know when it will be finished, but you can play first three levels right now. These levels will force you to feel an atmosphere of Eternal III again.

To play this PWAD you need an original ETERNAL.WAD.

You can play it with 'vanilla' DOOM2.EXE or with any doom2 compatible port with good emulation of software tricks.

ZDoom/GZDoom, any versions of PrBoom/PrBoom-Plus with software rendering or GLBoom-Plus 2.5.0.1+ are strongly recommended.

WARNING: You should not use glboom at all and glboom-plus older than 2.5.0.1 with this PWAD to avoid tons of HOMs. (the same for the original Eternal III)

Command line: glboom-plus -iwad doom2.wad -file eternal.wad reternal.wad -complevel 2 gzdoom -iwad doom2.wad -file eternal.wad reternal.wad doom2 -file eternal.wad reternal.wad

Really captures the Eternal feel, and beautiful to look at. Not exactly a remake, more of a remix, as echoes of other Eternal levels are present in each map. This produces lots of deja vu which can either cue your next move or get you in trouble when it's not quite the same after all :) -- I do agree with the reviewer who says the action needs a little tweaking; in the later areas of each map it was sometimes a little flat. But otherwise, I loved it. ~REZ~

I liked it! IMO, these maps should've been added on to EDIV, seeing how at the moment there's only 7 levels in that, and Team TNT need all the help they can get in terms of new members. I look forward to seeing more!

Very good Pwad, It should be named Eternal Remain because the levels are remakes of the original ones. I agree with above reviewer, this is not original enough for 5 stars So I only give 4/5 I realy recomend playing it.

It just felt flat and a bit boring IMO. Not a fan of this series.

Great work! As in the first game, I couldn't work out how to do level 2. God, I hate the concept in that map. :) I think the pacing needs to improve in parts - aim for highs, then lows, then highs etc... otherwise the experience can have a flat feel to it. These three maps also seemed very faithful to the originals. It made me feel as though I was playing a (very good) remake of eternal, not add-ons or an expansion. Very good nevertheless.

Pretty good as the person above me said, but as he/she also said, it just feels like a remake of eternal doom, which sadly made me loose some interest. Overall I'll give 4/5, good demo, I'll probably play the full version when it comes out, but unless there is more uniqueness, my vote will stay 4/5.

Sorry - just as boring an uninspired as the original Eternal. If you liked that one, you'll love this, too; if you didn't, though, don't bother with this.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.

What the actual f*ck is this map. I love having 4 rockets, a shit ton of bullets and like 10 shotgun shells to take out a revenant, and whatever was in that cage. Doesn't look too bad, maybe this negativity is cus im no expert, also rather unskilled at the game?
