About This File

This is a remake of the first dungeon in the game "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time" for the N64.

I had Zelda playing on an emulator on a laptop while I built the map on a desktop computer. I used the in-game map and a ruler to figure out the general size and shape of each room, though there are some differences in appearance. The biggest difference is in monster placement - the remake being more action oriented. Some parts might not be very fair on a first play-through.

Designed for jumping and freelook (jumping is required to beat the map).

Interesting WAD, music goes good with it. Cool if your a Zelda fan. Gameplay is a bit easy. I'll give it a 4 for creativity. 4/5 -r_rr

False advertising, just a shit hallway with switches at the end to exit, a bunch of rockets, and a rocket launcher... A rocket jump map basically... impossible without god mode, due to lack of a MegaSphere.

A bit different from your other maps in that there are less monsters; however, this does not rule it out. I found it very creative, in terms of the level design, as it perfectly captures the aspects of the Deku True from Ocarina of Time. In addition to this, it provides a challenging level that can be played (and enjoyed) in Coop mode. Archvilles continue to be a pain in the ass though, so maybe less of these suckers. Otherwise, 5 out of 5. --Lullabye

Really not that good, despite being a faithful replica of that good ol' Deku Tree. It is rather boring, bland and not that fun. I give it a 2/5. To properly rate this, it also helps to ignore the fact its a remake of a Zelda Dungeon.

What? The file size of this suddenly just went way down and got replaced by some useless map. Don't know what's going on, but sent an email to the author. BTW I've posted this comment on several of the wads by this guy so that this (assumably a spam of sorts into the archive) gets attention.

Bah, I never played this stupid zelda fitzgerald game and this level just blows. It's too wide open and it's basically a large clusterfuck.

All of my wads were replaced at my request. I sent Ty an email to let him know it was a legit request (thank you Ty). Please do not delete the replacements. btw, the RJ map is easily possible in ZDoom and ZDaemon using default gravity and aircontrol settings.

Someone replaced the real wad with some pathetic 7 kb rocket jump map! Ty, how did you even replace it without checking that? It clearly wasn't TimeOfDeath who did this. This applies to all of TOD's wads uploaded (smedley, tom19, etc.). Please delete those files as they're not meant to be that. As for the replacement map, a pathetic impossible RJ map. 0 stars, anyone? - Moti

Ripping off Zelda OOT level design is lame enough, but then loading it with 600+ monsters? Crap, avoid.

I played this, it wasn't bad. Brought back some memories of Zelda, but not entirely nostaglic. All's good with the exception of the archviles, they are a pain, save/load at all cost. Thumbs up 4 Stars.

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
