Well, remember dark caliber project that was hyped by Ellmo (Hello there leader faggot), you know, we worked on this decently and there was map02 done by ellmo, BUT NO, he said he will start programming and that i should remove his map under request, why!? so yeah, project was pretty much crumbled. I decided to tune up and finish all of the maps i created for this wad, about 3 maps which differ in difficulty (Map01 - easy, Map02 - Normal, Map03 - Hard). I'm sure you will enjoy it but be aware that playing map03 on UV may piss you off and cause a trauma or depression, play at your own risk on UV ;) happy holidays doom masters

Well, that's certainly an interesting description about the backstory behind the design of this wad. More interesting, in fact, than the wad itself. Blech.

Ignoring the drama in the text file, this project is at best alright. 1st map is a nice small map, which plays well but has too many arrows and suffers from a minor fault or two. 2nd map is a mid/large map which is alright until the mass monster bit at the end, which has too little health and too much ammo. 3rd map is crap. A hitscan slaughter, with no health, cyberdemons in tight places and a very boring look, plus texture errors everywhere. So 3* for 1 good map, 1 alright map and shitheap. -Phobus

I was very impressed by these maps, but some of the mass monster areas were tedious. I died in the last map when there were 13 monsters left :P Happy New Year!

Hell yes, author has a big potential to become a quality mapper like Tormentor, Mechadon or Vader with one exception, he would be specialized in gameplay unlike all those fools i mentioned! this wad kicks ass, i enjoyed it playing through, even the shitfest map03 on UV, that wad is F` A. Alter, you are the FUTURE of mappers, not like those zdoom feature abusing newb screwbags like Moti and others. Three maps dated yesterday. Map01 is an intricate, compact dungeon level, a fun introduction (though I'm not sure about all the arrows; there must have been a better way). Map02 is bigger, just as intricate, with an interesting look, but dull and switch-hunty. It must have taken forever to put in all those armour and health bonuses. Map03 is a large city-style map, one of those thousand-monster opuses where you feel numb and a bit sick at the end.

These maps are fine, I think they are nicely detailed and have a good gameplay. This wad is good for single player or 2 players maximum, but playing it with more then 2 people is like impossible :p. But still I give it 4/5 - nice one. Xaver

Despite the dicksucking done by whoever on DRDFroums this set is pretty average, cramped, ok looking I suppose, but tedious in a lot of places. Also, Ellmo may have pissed you off but discrediting him in your txt file makes you look petty and immature...oh right, a teenager, so petty and immature are the order of the day. 3 stars.

Not perfect, and being rather switch-hunty it might annoy some, but I enjoyed this. Good difficulty first 2 maps (though end of Map02 is a bit ridiculous), then Map03 is slaughter-based and has even more ammo than necessary, though health isn't ridiculously plentiful. So overall the author's attitude obviously sucks, but these are decent maps. I'd probably give it a 4, but I'll give 5 to move the average closer.

The wad is detailed, and the gameplay is alright, but it is way cramped. The author's attitude however, is what makes the cake for this wad. If your partner had other things he wanted to do, and respectfully asked you to withdraw your map, don't throw a hissy fit about it. Seriously, grow the fuck up kid. Just for that, you lost the 4 stars the map could have earned. 0/5

      These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this is a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

      A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

      Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

      Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

      It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
