I didn't like this very much and It shouldn't have been called plutonia 2 why? because this didn't much remind me of the plutonia experiment also It's not as much fun in my opinion *** -SS

Pretty fucking awesome. My only criticism is that in some of the larger maps I sometimes wasn't sure what the hell a switch I flipped had just done, and had to backtrack all over the place. PL2 manages to be a faithful successor to Plutonia, but also evidences a lot of its own creativity. Of course it can be deviously difficult, but happily on skill 3 I didn't have any "Impossible!" moments. Definitely destined to be one of the great releases of this year. *****

It fucking rules. Huge well designed maps, lots of details, high gameplay value, overall a must and of the best things which met me so far in 2009.

The levels are really good, they do give me that plutonia feel, but like an earlier review said, the forced pickups are annoying. The new music however, i think is terrible. Also, i'm using chocolate-doom to play this and on some maps saving a game will cause it to crash which is irritating. If it wasn't for the bugs and music i'd give it a 5 but 3/5

I'm not sure if this is some sort of glitch but I'm getting tons of wall textures coming up black. Anyone know why this happens? Other than that, great game. Can't wait to finish it UV! :)

I disagree with the last two comments. The name wasn't just tacked on, they really did try to make this wad with plutonia gameplay and feel and to me it pulls it off sucessfully. The maps simply blew my mind and still manages a classic gameplay. 5/5

I rated [5 stars - legendary] - Finally its out! and I really loved the levels here. They were all very challenging and a real blast to play and I was really struggling in Map02. Map11 was a maze of Archviles but bigger and badder than the original. The level by Erik Alm (Map24) was nothing but rape-fest. The gameplay really shined, it was perfect. Some of the new music was excellent too, especially the music in Map08 and Map17. ***** - P.C

The difficulty curve is a bit off for me, but the maps are great anyway. True to the Plutonia style! 4/5 -- x_MaimerFagen_x

I like the part where I pay for the numerous murders I committed by getting beaten up by either a Mancubus or an Arachnotron, it changed my outlook on Monster Priority. Thank you "Problematic" Revenant #7, I have yet to find a way to repay him.

A playable map.  This wad is very representative of the 1994-1996 time period of new mappers creations.  There is enough ammo and health if you play conservatively and utilize monster in-fighting.

Very inconsistent everywhere you look, from the overall feel of the megawad, to each individual level. The balance is all over the place, leading to levels having uber-easy regions mixed with insanely challenging, trial-and-error ambushes. The exploration is very hit and miss, mostly leaning towards miss. A couple of interesting places, but the wad just isn't that fun, even for those who have a high tolerance for old wads like me.

An example of how not to make a map. Lots of ugly rooms filled with same types of enemies. The blue key room in particular has about ten hell knights and barons trapped on pillars, and you have only a super shotgun to fight them; thankfully, what _would_ have been a mind-numbingly boring fight is skippable because the blue key is right there for you to take. Errors large and small abound, such as the pass-through metal bars or the clumsy approach to detailing and shading.
New music, in the form of a bad-sounding midi which barely has any rhythm.

Finished within 4 minutes or so A 2016 re-release of a 1994 level. The text file warns: "Bad, really bad 1994 quality", and is right; there's nothing whatsoever interesting about this level -- you enter one flat room after another and shoot at haphazardly spread out monsters. There is an "invisible teleporter" gimmick which, however, I have barely noticed in my playthrough. The exit isn't even hidden or locked in any way, and can be easily stumbled into accidentally. There's nothing to say.
