This wad is easily the most frightening thing I have ever made. On that note, it's also the most frightening thing you will ever play. It's not just some ghoul rip-off. No, it's much more than that. The excellent use of ambience and map effects used in this wad will make you think that this is a totally different game. Prepare to enter the forest; the Forest of Agony.

Why is it that terry's wads' reviews mainly consist of garden-variety internet insults? You guys sound like that lady in the Duke Nukem ventrilo harrassment video. To actually review the level, it was boring and was basically a half-baked and generally poor parody of cutman's ghoul wads with little effort. This could have been good if terry applied himself, but as it stands the level sucks too much to even convey a sense of deadpan sarcasm.

About the same quality as the actual ghoul wads: walk around in a nearly pitch-black forest and then something kills you making a loud noise and the only way to kill the ghoul is to expect it and then that defeats the purpose of the wad itself. Because of that, I will give it the same rating I do for the other ghoul wads: 0.

      A slight improvement over the quality of castle1.wad (I didn't play castle2 because it's already been reviewed.) The starting actually looks sorta cool, giving you a sense that this map might be better than the previous ones. But, it's only marginally better, with outrageously long hallways as the main annoyance. Combat exists but is still super easy, especially if you use the myriad artifacts in supply. The worst part was getting to the end of a massive hallway and finding out that I needed a green key, which would have been about two minutes of backtracking if I didn't use the turbo cheat. 2/5 would skip

      Other than a few competent moments, this is quite passable... as in, pass it by to play a more exciting map. At best it's incredibly easy even on high difficulty levels, with pretty basic and usually ugly architecture, and at worst you get to navigate through a maze of single-linedef walls which of course don't block your shots. If there were anything other than melee golems around, it would have been even more annoying.

      No, this is not a 5 star wad, not by a longshot. It is an acceptable time killer though and it's also marred by some teleporter confusion. It's small and the cyberdemon is pretty easy to get rid of, so as name suggests, don't panic.

      Some decent gameplay ideas here. The idea of the level itself being an enemy is perhaps most exemplified by the room with the large crusher taking up the most of the middle. In each corner that room is a lantern, and these are solid objects that you have to negotiate while passing through this room, as they force you to move into the zone of the crusher. Early on I got a little careless and was crushed to death. From that point I took the map a little more cautiously.

      The experience of the level is marred somewhat by the back-and-forth travelling one has to do to complete it. I get that the point was to keep the player running through the gauntlet of the traps, but some bits of it were tedious in a way that I don't think the author intended. The doors are poorly marked; the yellow key door is just a carved face. Some areas are needlessly cramped, the starting area especially. This isn't to say that there aren't any areas in this level where cramped surroundings do work; there's a room that's full of imps past one of the teleporters that's a fun little skirmish, although you have to be very good at dodging. And I noticed an error in one of the traps:
