About This File

Final version features modified heating-cooling system and works fine in coop game.

Mod idea and most of the sounds originally by WildWeasel. He hadn't yet finished his mod at that moment, nd I borrowed his idea (with his permission). This mod puts the doomguy into armored assault mecha with 5 weapons, 1000 armor points which absorbs 100% of the damage until it's compromised, and has unique cockpit and crosshair for every weapon. The mod is meant to make you overpowered, so don't play it if you don't like it.

And watch the heat meter! Its maximum is 100 and it can prevent you from shooting. Better read story.txt for more information about UAC Armored Combat Suit.

In addition the mod turns caco's blood to blue, hellknight's and baron's to green and also contains animated blood decals I used in Beautiful Doom.

For a "final version" there's still plenty wrong with this. If you hold down the fire button with the chaingun selected and let the ammo counter run out you can fire forever until you let go of the fire button. The lack of widescreen resolution support is disappointing. Making the player actor larger than normal to where you have to duck to get under normal doorways is annoying.

I hope the author will revisit this one day to address the issues I mentioned as well as what others have mentioned (aside from the mod being overpowered; I like power fantasy mods and this was going for that) because there is potential for this mod to be a damn good one.

Until then, give this mod a pass. If you want something more polished and balanced while still letting you run around in a big stompy mech suit, try Xaser's NecroDoom.

I understand that being a giant robot can lend itself to being overpowered, but you could have at least actually tried to balance it.

Is it okay if I just pretend that I'm Megatron instead of the given name?

Ok this needs a way higher rating than it has right now, easily a 5/5 mod Weapon mods don't get much more badass than turning you into a huge robot.

Thanks for breaking nearly all normal maps, including the retail ones because you're so damn huge. The guns are competent, but other than that they're just boring, especially the superweapon. That superweapon could be okay along with another original one, but that by itself isn't even really trying.

Always dreamed of a mod to let him super powerful, after all the Plutonia Experiment is very difficult. Note 10/5. Thank you.

The weapons are interesting, but their appearance is in great contrast to their in-game power. The rockets are tiny and produce even smaller explosions, the chaingun is just really fast and surprisingly weak, the lasers could have had bigger railgun shots, and the superweapon could have been a nuke or something like a BFG blast without getting rid of the all-weapon combination. The sounds could have had a lot of work done on them too.

Weapon slot 7 easily makes this worth the download all by itself.

Really, really fun mod. Makes some of the super hard WAD's with loads of enemies like Deus Vult an absolute slaughter fest. I managed to get it working with Brutal Doom too, and although the enemies don't gib they have all their extra attacks and the like. Highly recommend a download if you wan't a different feel for doom.

These levels are short, sweet, and pack a lot of punch. Complete with a humorous end-text-screen containing a healthy dose of silly shock-humor, this a masterful triumph of Heretic map-making, and most certainly a must-play wad.

A really frantic and fun DM map with pretty neat stuff like invisible pillar in the middle of the arena, doesn't have anything to do with the title but the level can become a BFG spamming fest soon, especially with bots. Less fun in SP but the arch-ville+bunch of nazi combo is a nice feat.

Only six enemies (played on UV) and no working exit. Other than that, it is a pretty detailed map for 1995. I enjoyed the general design and the poisonous vats of acid. Very cool, but not practical for good gameplay.   EDIT: Just discovered this is a ideally a DM wad… haha, for that purpose, it seems good. My original rating was 2/5, will change it now.

Lots of traps and monster closets. Some switches are activated by shooting but there's nothing to really tell you about this because they look the same as other switches.   Texturing is good and enemy placement proved rather difficult at times. There aren't may health pickups on UV so it was a fight to get through.

It's pretty good for 1994. If you don't mind having no health items at all (except in a few maps) and the outrageous amounts of cyberdemons per map, you should give it a try. It's pretty challenging and I like it. E2M3 is a bit 'eh...' though.
